Please, we have to say, and STRESS that there are some wonderful people and groups in Morocco who are doing everything they possibly can to help improve the daily lives of all animals. This is where we have to help them and give our support.
The quickest and easiest way to start is by signing the petition detailed in the text of this post. At least 15,000 SIGNATURES ARE NEEDED in order for this message to really be hammered home to the authorities. This is where we ask you please to spread the petition to all, to the Moon and back. Then with masses of (International) signatures to be presented to the authorities, we can begin to hope for a new dawn for animals in Morocco.

Animals in Morocco“If you visit Morocco, you’ll certainly be charmed by the hospitality of the Moroccans, their kindness and goodness. However, a question remains: Have Moroccans forgotten that animals are living beings and that they deserve Respect?
Indeed, animal abuse in this country is a reality, and it is more visible as dogs, cats, horses, mules and others, are part of the landscape. They are everywhere in the country, in cities the streets of cities … But there are also those that are not seen and who suffer out of sight. They are often horses and mules. Why are they so abused? Of course, the life of many Moroccans is difficult and many have to work long hours to earn some money. Is this a reason to punish those without whom they would have even less?
The city of Casablanca:
One can spend a day in Casablanca without ignoring the presence of animals around. Thousands of dogs and cats suffer the daily plight of the street. Yes, the plight of animals in Morocco is clearly visible. It is time to make it better.. do something!

This is really disgusting and above all it is a scandal that people look at it and ignore it – what a shame. In a civilized nation this never should happen, there should be the respect for the animals who do their best to please the human. They are not only an object, they are a living creature which just only wants to leave in peace. A country should protect its weakest habitants and those are the animals, they can’t defend themselves against the cruelty of the human. A donkey does its work better, when it is well treated and fed. I am sure that many animal welfare organisations are ready to help with the support of the authorities. This would show that you take care of those innocent animals who did not choose themselves to roam and starve in the streets. The Maroccan people should not avoid their responsibility towards the animals. I will never visit a country which is barbaric like that, which even doesn’t know humanity and pity towards those which are in desperate need !

I am horrified at the level of cruelty and abuse shown in these pictures. There are better ways of controlling huge stray animal populations than poisoning. And for the people to ignore a sick or injured animal is inhumane. Animals deserve more respect than this
These pictures are horrendous, maybe the worst I’ve seen. I know that I will not be able to view the videos! And we think our government in Puerto Rico is bad. This country’s animals (and probably its people!) need a lot of help. This is inexcusable and I hope all our efforts will help. I appeal to the leaders of Morocco to have compassion towards its animals and give assistance to the people and groups who are trying to help the animals.
It is vital for everyone who cares for animals world wide to sign this petition! How else can we make our voices heard that cruelty and neglect must end!
