It’s a basement torture chamber.
Documents obtained by PETA reveal that Johns Hopkins experimenter Shreesh Mysorecuts into the skulls of barn owls, inserts electrodes into their brains, forces them to look at screens for hours a day, and bombards them with noises and lights—and pretends that doing this will tell us something about attention-deficit disorder in humans.
This owl is one of many imprisoned in Shreesh Mysore’s basement laboratory, where he cuts into their skulls and screws metal devices onto their heads in curiosity-driven experiments that have no relevance for human health.
Funded by Johns Hopkins University with more than $1 million, Mysore intends to use 50 to 60 barn owls in just the current set of painful experiments. He’s also received more than $1.3 million from the National Institutes of Health to torment these owls and other animals.
For some experiments, he restrains fully conscious owls for up to 12 hours.
During these experiments, he pokes electrodes around in the brains of the fully conscious birds, mutilating their brain tissue so severely that they become “unusable” to him – at which point he kills them.

Tell Johns Hopkins University to end this torment now!

My comment: Those all are called Mengele, all these remind us of the brown times with the experiments on humans in German laboratories in the Nazi times .
Psychopaths, unscrupulous sadists, who build a rich carefree life and career on murder and torture of defenseless animals and have the audacity to state publicly that they are pursuing these cruel works for the good of the people`s health.

Yulin: Soon it’s time again!!
Despite criticism, on June 21, 2019, there is a big crowd at the dog meat festival in the southern Chinese city of Yulin, where more than 10,000 dogs are slaughtered live.

The protests of animal rights activists have started in Yulin and a ban is also being demanded in other cities in China.
But the sellers invoke a tradition celebrating the summer solstice, and dogs are simply being captured from the streets everywhere, waiting for their painful suffering.
The Yulin Festival is not a centuries-old tradition: it was only launched in 2010! And many say it serves mainly the meat industry, which wants to boost their sales.
Tens of thousands of dogs, as well as cats, are brutally tortured before they land on their plates. The more pain the dog or cat experiences, the more adrenaline is released in the body. This ensures that the meat becomes tough.

China has no animal welfare law
According to Chinese media reports, pet thieves operate shamelessly. Sometimes they stun their prey with poisoned arrows. When they have collected dozens of animals, they make a deal with a dog meat trader. The traders then bring the dogs to slaughterhouses. The path for a dog to the slaughterhouse is agonizing.

My comment: Is not it the same thing we do with pigs, sheep and calves?
These animals would also like to become our pets if we had not locked them in mass cages.
In Germany alone, 50,000 piglets a day land in the garbage cans, which are waste and are not needed. Half dead, they die an agonizing, slow death after they were beaten on the ground.
Yes! it’s not just the Chinese who are the criminals.
But that does not mean that a criminal is justified because another similar is practiced.
Torture and sadism of animals everywhere is a criminal, no matter in which nation.
And we will do our best to abolish this festival
Not because we believe that house animals do not belong in our plate and therefore have a special status in our morals.
But because we condemn torture and sadism against ALL animals, we will do our utmost to put an end to this barbarous festival too.

My best regards, Venus

“The animal rights movement can not and will not win as well as the human rights movement can never win – because stupidity and wickedness of people will never end.
Anyone who fights for the good fights an ultimately hopeless fight.
But for those animals and for those people we can help with, this help can mean the difference between life and death, between happiness and disaster.
Given the endless suffering on earth, all we can do about it remains a drop in the ocean. But anyone can help a being or a few beings.
And then, after all, we can say that without us the world would be even worse, the suffering even greater. ”

Protest in front of the Serbian Consulate in Salzburg – the report!

Now it was finally time – our protests against the incomprehensible brutality in Serbia animals have now taken physical form!
A dozen weather-proof animal rights activists gathered in front of the consulate in Salzburg to make a first statement with a spectacular rally!

‘Welcome to my paradise’, that’s his words! Therefore, we also brought our coffin, decorated with the words “Serbia carries the animal protection to the grave” (!!!) in front of the consulate.
Whether the rally on the consulate staff made a lasting impression, this question does not arise; it can safely be answered with “yes”, as evidenced by the fact that employees filmed the events through the windows – probably on behalf of “above”;
And this is exactly the reason for joy, because that alone the actual order of the demo seemed to have been reached: the message will be passed on, the ‘right people’ will talk about it!
My comment: It is undisputed that Serbia occupies a bad place in animal cruelty.
Serbia is not in the EU.
And certainly the extent of animal cruelty to animals – especially stray animals – will not be decisive for whether Serbia joins the EU or not.
Because then the EU should also reject the accession to countries like Greece, Romania or Spain, or, for the same reason, they should have shouted out of the EU.
Countries like Serbia are many in the EU and have not gotten better because they joined.
The Respect Animals Association claims that the actual message of the demo seemed to have been reached, but if the purpose of the activists was to make it clear to the Serbian government that there is no accession without animal welfare, the association must consider, what the EU Commissioners are say to the animal welfare law: It is a matter of the country!
Although demos in front of the consulate are therefore also a very good source of information for the public, they are not a strong pressure against the accession of Serbia to the EU.
