SAV comment:

Looks like the dimwit S. korean Ag minister should be buried in a deep pit; not the animals.

He obviously still lives on another planet to the rest of us.

The truth will continue to ‘out’ – we will ensure that.

Big Animal Abusers South Korea: Video Footage of Live Pig Burials Now Obtained. WARNING ** – Graphic Footage, but the Reality of South Korea – Major Animal Abusers.

WARNING – the following video shows EXTREME animal cruelty and suffering.

** Video link; **     http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kbOMH19LKgY

Here at SAV we have always had a simple policy of trying to tell the truth and showing the reality of animal cruelty issues.

We never show just one image followed by a ‘donate now’ link on every third line of our articles.

We do not ask visitors to the site to ‘join us’ as members; which would naturally mean you pay an annual membership fee; we simply attempt to provide information and pictures to you, the caring international animal advocates of this world, because money is not the most important thing when it comes to getting results.  It helps, but some people act because they are animal people rather than corporates who have to get a pile of bucks through the door every year.

If graphic images need to be shown and published on SAV to send out the message of what is going on, then they will be.  There are no apologies from this camp for showing the reality of animal abuse around the world.  We do not want to have to show it, but all the time it goes on, we will endevour to provide an insight into it – simple as that.

In addition, if we can show images of positive and good result success stories then we will; bad must be balanced with good when it can be.  There is a mass of bad out there, but there is a lot of good done by unsung heroes throughout the world.  We will share in this when chances arise.

The following video link above and below shows the live burial of pigs in South Korea due the the Foot and Mouth (F&M) disease which has raged the country for weeks now.

This is the reality of what is going on at this very moment; with Korean authorities giving two fingers to all international regulations which should protect animals at times such as this.

The video is bad  – distressing and upsetting for many.

If you wish to contact your own national South Korean embassies (possibly) after watching the video, then please do so using the following links:

Below is the link to the video footage of pigs being prepared to be buried alive.

This is very graphic footage – but it the reality of what is going on in such places as South Korea at this very moment.  South korea; a nation which gives not a damn about the enforcement of animal welfare / protection regulations.

Please crosspost the video link as much as possible.

The South Koreans desrve to be deluged with mails, telephone calls and the rest regarding their animal abuse policies.  PLEASE DO IT !

Uk: Justice ! – Illegal Hare Coursers Find it’s a Crushing Experience !

Illegal hare coursers find it’s a crushing experience

Raymond Brown

More than 100 hare coursers have been caught in Cambridgeshire this season – and 15 of their vehicles have been crushed.

The illegal sport attracts hundreds of hunters to the region from around the country during the hunting season which runs from August until April.

The high-stakes betting competition sees dogs unleashed and the animal that catches most hares in a day wins.

Yesterday, one car seized by police and ordered by the courts to be destroyed was smashed up at Welney Farms, off the A14 near Dry Drayton.

Officers from the Rural Community Action Team (RCAT) have held the Vauxhall Astra since catching three people hare coursing at Six Mile Bottom on August 20. Joseph Smith, 51, of Paddock Wood, Kent, William Smith, 42, of Willingham Avenue, Hastings, and Buddy Jarrett, 19, of Atterbury Close, Westerham, Kent, had travelled up to Cambridgeshire from East Sussex.

They were convicted at Ely Magistrates’ Court on January 6 and the car was ordered destroyed.

Smith and Kent were both fined £300, ordered to pay £85 costs and a £15 victim surcharge. Both were also given a six-month driving ban. Jarrett was fined £100, ordered to pay £100 costs and £15 victim surcharge. He was given a three-month driving ban.

All had pleaded guilty to illegal hare coursing.

Pc Robin Smith, who was there to watch the car being crushed, said: “Since the start of the season in August we have caught 112 hare coursers. They come from around the country because of the flat land around here which means they get good views of the course.

“They bet on which dog kills the most hares in one day and there is a lot of money involved.”

“The victims of this crime are the landowners and farmers who can have crops and fencing destroyed when the hare coursers drive onto the land.”

“We take this type of crime very seriously and this should send out a strong message that anyone who comes to Cambridgeshire to hare course is in danger of having their car seized and subsequently crushed.”

Uk: Should We Be Eating Dogs in Britain?

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Should we be eating dogs in Britain?

treated equally?

In Korea and some other Asian countries dogs (and cats) are considered a good source of protein. Although UK residents are likely to be shocked at the thought, why is it considered wrong to eat dogs yet acceptable to eat cows, pigs, chickens and other animals? This is the question that national campaign group Animal Aid is asking during March, which is designated national Veggie Month.

Of course, rather than adding dog to the menu, during Veggie Month Animal Aid is urging the British public to recognise that pigs, sheep, cows and chickens are not so different from the dogs and cats who share our homes, and instead to try a meat-free diet.

Animal Aid supporters will be communicating this thought-provoking message to the general public by distributing tens of thousands of the group’s ‘Friend or Food?’ leaflet, as well as setting up street stalls in different parts of the country. A large controversial poster, depicting a golden retriever lying in a grassy field, will be displayed on the stalls asking passers-by, ‘Would you eat dog for dinner? If the idea disgusts you, tell us why’.

When Animal Aid took a spoof dog meat trailer on the road last year, the response from the public was powerful. People right across the country were horrified at the thought of eating Dachshund burgers or Collie steaks, and many – for the first time – accepted the idea that eating pigs or sheep was just the same.

Says Veggie Month Co-ordinator Kelly Slade:
‘In the UK, we are brought up to believe that it is acceptable to use some animals for food, whilst others are loved as companions. Therefore, this Veggie Month, instead of pointing the finger at other nations’ food choices, we could all stop and question why we consume any animals at all. Animals bred to be eaten are capable of experiencing a range of emotions in the same way as the dogs and cats who share our homes, and they deserve just as much respect.’

National Veggie Month aims to promote the animal welfare, health and environmental benefits of a meat-free diet.

It is supported by libraries, health food shops, Waterstones bookstores and schools across the country. As part of the initiative, Animal Aid has launched its third nationwide youth art and poetry competition, the theme of which poses the question to 11-16 year olds: Is it ethical to eat animals?
