India: Beautiful Lab and Pom Requiring New Homes

These are pictures of a Labrador (female) and a Pom (male) that have been abandoned by their families and are now with us.

They desperately need homes.

The female Lab is a very pleasant natured (with a very small healing wound on her back). She was carelessly left on the road by her guardian. 
 
The pom is traumatized after having to leave his home as a new baby had arrived in the family.  Very handsome with a lovely coat but still very sad.

Please try to find homes for them, and forward this email to your family and friends.

Serbia: A Special Appeal To Help ‘Visnja’s Veterinary Costs

This is a special appeal to help ‘Visnja’.

 

Last Saturday, she was attacked by the two other dogs she was sharing an enclosure with at the shelter.

 

Her head and one of her ears were severely damaged.  The vet was immediately called an he stitched her head and her ear, but unfortunately, her body rejected the ear being re-stitched.

 

Today, 27/02, she has had to have the ear amputated, and the pictures below show her post surgery.  They look very graphic, but please remember her hair has been removed and the stitch wounds are very fresh.  In a very short time the fur will grow back, her injuries will heal and she will be as good as always.

If anyone can provide help with the veterinary costs for Visnja’s surgery then it would be most welcomed.  Information about donating can be found at the bottom of the following link:

‘Lance’ – Brindle Greyhound ……………….

 

This gorgeous boy is ‘Lance’ who has the most fantastic temperament – a real big softy, and for the past 4 years he has shared his life with 3 cats, 2 birds, and a baby who is now 5 years old.

 

Due to a marriage break up, and the ex-husband being out at work all day, and the ex-wife’s land-lord not permitting dogs – ‘Lance’ is desperately looking for either a foster home or permanent home.

 

He was rescued by us when he was 5 years old – a sad, thin, unwanted ex-racer, kept mostly out in a garden after being off loaded (on at least two accounts) to a ‘new owner’, who then didn’t have time for him.

 

This 9 year old gentle laid back boy, who thought he had found his forever home, is in need again, due to him losing his family…………….

 

Please contact Action for Greyhounds as above DIRECT – if you can offer a foster home or permanent home to ‘Lance’, who needs to be fostered/homed in the Norfolk/Suffolk area.
