June 2nd 2011 – today M. Johnson, SAV founder, has written to Julia Gillard – Australian PM, about the horrendous abuse and suffering of Australian animals in the live export trade.
Now it is time, more than ever, after the terrible footage obtained showing the abuse of live Australian cattle in Indonesia, to take action and demand that Australia bans all live animal exports.
You can do this by taking the following actions:
Please watch the Four Corners exposé of the treatment of Australian cattle
in Indonesia http://www.abc.net.au/4corners/special_eds/20110530/cattle/
The BanLiveExports.com campaign is jointly run by Australia’s two peak animal protection bodies — RSPCA Australia and Animals Australia.

If you are an AUSTRALIAN, let your local MP know your thoughts on live export (click here to find your MP). Send them an e-mail or letter, and consider asking for a meeting to discuss your concerns.
Take along some of these videos with you to illustrate your concerns about live animal export, and ask them to oppose this cruel trade.
Get active for animals on facebook and twitter, and help spread the word.
