Coronavirus deaths in the Netherlands have plummeted. Still, the government has ordered the slaughter of 10,000 captive mink, the first sign of a potential US-style mass cull.
Bred in captivity for their fur, mink are subjected to some appalling conditions throughout their short lives. However, the coronavirus pandemic has introduced a new threat to the lives of these creatures.
After their handlers infected mink on Dutch farms with Covid-19 in April, and after at least two farm workers caught the disease off the mink, the Dutch government ordered 10,000 of the animals to be culled on Wednesday.
Farmworkers in protective clothing will gas the mink en masse before a disposal plant takes care of the bodies and the farms are disinfected (!!!)
In the course of the coming days, all eight affected companies should be cleared. There are still around 150 fur farms in the Netherlands.
From 2024, breeding mink is prohibited after a court decision.
And I mean…The authority speaks of the evacuation of the fur farms and the gassing of the animals.
As if we were in Hitler’s time.
Has the Dutch government never heard of a release?
Even if part of the mink is run over, the rest will live in freedom.
THAT would be a humane solution.
But because criminal governments provide support to the mass murderers in the animal industry, the 10,000 mink have to fall a victim.
It looks like a financial bankruptcy of this branch in the Netherlands.
Hopefully, the operators commit suicide..

Dead black bear dumped in ditch; hunter ticketed for littering
EDMONTON — The body of a black bear was dumped illegally in a ditch near Lloydminster on Sunday, Alberta Fish and Wildlife said.
Officers determined the bear had been shot legally on private land, but that the carcass was improperly disposed of.
The person who shot the bear was ticketed for littering, Fish and Wildlife said.
“Owners or occupants of privately owned land or any person authorized to keep livestock on public land may, without a licence, hunt (but not trap) black bear on such lands, at all times of the year,” a Government of Alberta spokesperson said.
The woman who reported the carcass, Angie Atkinson, says bears are a common sight in the area.
“We’re not that far from the North Saskatchewan River, so there’s lots of ravines,” said Atikinson. “Once in a while, I’ll see scat along the road but they’re just trotting down the road and don’t seem to be much of a problem.”
Officials say animal carcasses should be disposed of at a waste management facility or on private land.

And I mean…The answer is no! No carnist is ashamed to be part of such crimes.
On the one hand, because the meat industry is constantly developing very clever strategies to keep such images secret.
On the other hand, carnists try to deny the reality and therefore most of them turn on the autopilot of apology and justification as soon as they see such pictures:
1. My conscience is clear because I buy my meat from the farmer next door who doesn’t torture the animals.
2. I actually eat very little meat.
3. Animals were always slaughtered as our food, it was always like this and it is completely natural.
4. Slaughter is so brutal only in countries that do not have an animal protection law, we have the best here.
We operate an animal genocide every day, with the most inhumane practices in human history, and yet we want to rationalize it with the argument, that people have always eaten meat as if this was a justification to continue to do so.
According to this logic, we should not try to prevent people from killing other people, as this has always been done.
How long do the carnists want to follow the dirty propaganda of the meat mafia that says meat is normal, natural, and necessary?
To pay for and support this system of exploitation, this animal holocaust?
To cheat themselves with the illusion of free choice if this choice is only a result of the propaganda of the meat mafia?
How long do the carnists want that executioner doing a dirty job for them?
In fact, the only honest argument of meat-eaters as to why they eat animals is that the suffering and pain of other beings care them a shit.

Our teams have just successfully completed another inspiring rescue. Female bears Cuc and Nhai have been transferred to our BEAR SANCTUARY Ninh Binh to start their new lives, in freedom.
Whilst the rescue of Cuc and Nhai was planned thanks to your support, our team had an unexpected surprise which resulted in the additional rescue of baby cub Mochi who is receiving around the clock veterinary care.
That’s why we urgently need your support. Only with your help we can continue our efforts to ensure all three bears settle at BEAR SANCTUARY Ninh Binh and remain healthy and protected. Every penny counts!
Chuc and Nhai had only known cages before they were rescued. But now they are safe and are constantly receiving veterinary care, a species-appropriate diet as well as an extensive enrichment programme from our rescue teams who are doing everything they can to ensure the bears settle in the new lives outside of the bars.
Baby Mochi is a female Asiatic black bear cub who weighed just 2KG when we rescued her. Baby Mochi is a victim of the illegal wildlife trade and her presence came as an absolute surprise and our team acted fast Fortunately, baby Mochi is safe and is doing well in our BEAR SANCTUARY Ninh Binh where she is receiving comprehensive veterinary care, special puppy milk and lots of enrichment. Whilst helping all three bears settle in our teams are still observing all the relevant safety precautions related to COVID-19.

A deer died because a farmer left tapes of straw bales in the field.
The pictures that Gernot Kunzemann has saved in his cell phone are difficult to look at. They show a deer struggling for its life.
To anticipate the end: A hunter had to be called who ended the animal’s agony with a targeted shot (!!!)

The deer had caught on a trail in a mess of old tapes. They are said to have held round bales of straw together.
The more he tried to get his antlers free, the more tangled he got.
That already happened on Easter Sunday, and Gernot Kunzemann approached it by accident.
“Then only the hunter could help” (!!!), he said.
Kunzemann then reported to the community representatives about this tragic story.
He was annoyed (!!!) about the negligence of the farmer, who simply left the tape in nature, which ultimately led to the death of the deer, says Kunzemann.
Kunzemann said that he prefers talking to each other rather than arguing, and prefers to shake hands with the farmers, mainly because farmers are one of the biggest donors and helpers in the community, and if you have a dispute with them, you can this source quickly dry up.
And I mean…Kunzemann finds a deer in death fight, takes out his cell phone, and documents the case.
What a useless, cowardly human specimen !!
And that was all that Kunzemann knew how to help while the deer was fighting for his life !!
If he had seen that a small child is in danger, would he have taken out his miracle machine and taken pictures to show that these photos are “difficult to look at”?
Who would he have helped with this?
We have learned something again! that the farmers throw their garbage everywhere and they care a shit for animal safety!
We didn’t need the pictures of Kunzemann for that, we already knew it, only Kunzemann is annoyed.
What we have also learned is that this society is a society of the fig voyeurs, a society whose humanity and willingness to help only extends to digital cell phone recordings.
