Belgium: a good move against ivory trade

The Belgian parliament passed a national trade ban on ivory on the evening of 4 April. Exceptions, however, continue to apply to processed ivory, which was acquired before 1975.
The Belgian Ministry of the Environment has up to now spoken out against trade restrictions – but now supports a ban in Belgium and at EU level.
Thus, the pressure on other EU member states and the EU Commission to prohibit trade increases. Daniela Freyer of the animal and species protection organization Pro Wildlife comments:

“We hope that the turnaround in Belgium will help finally usher in the end of the ivory trade in Europe.
Germany and the EU should not be in bottom position and should finally ban the ivory trade. “

The EU has been strongly criticized for years: despite numerous international resolutions and demands for a closure of the ivory markets and although the international ivory trade has been banned since 1990, it still allows the trade in ivory from alleged old stocks, sometimes even without permission and thus without control options.

“It is high time that the EU rejects bloody ivory trade once and for all, and that it no longer ignores international decisions, demands from African states, the European Parliament, scientists, animal rights activists and more than one million EU citizens”, so Daniela Freyer.

In addition, in recent years the EU has become the largest exporter of “legal” ivory to Asia: in 2015 alone, EU countries exported 10,000 pieces of ivory – mainly to China.

Thank you, Belgium! We need more courage, independence and resistance from the inner circle of the EU, because obviously, the will of EU citizens to abolish the suffering of animals interests the EU a shit.

Germany: farmer massacred 13 fawns!

In the spring of 2018, a farmer from the Gifhorn district in Lower Saxony, (Germany) killed twelve fawns, during mowing. The public prosecutor’s office had charged him with 13 reasons for killing of vertebrate for no good reason. Now he was sentenced by the district court Celle to a fine.

The farmer was traveling to supply a biogas plant and mowed a total of 20 hectares of leased land. An employee of the plant testified that the defendant had noticed that he had “mown” two fawns.

Nevertheless, he has continued to drive, without acting on the other areas more caution, so the newspaper.

And I mean: Farmers are antisocial, empathic-free and criminal pack. Farmers live at the expense of animals, and regard them as objects, as their slaves, with the right to torture and murder them; a criminal business that gives them good money.

We can bet that until today he still can not explain why he had to pay 2000 Euros for the disposal of “13 meadow objects”.

Easter: nothing else than blood orgy for lambs

The “tradition” of slaughtering lambs at Easter has its roots in the Jewish Passover feast. According to the Old Testament, God commanded his people, who at the time lived as slaves under the rule of the Egyptians, to slaughter a lamb and use their blood to smear the posts of their homes.
God had decided to meet and kill all the firstborn in Egypt in one night. Only the families whose homes were marked with the blood of the lambs would be spared. Jesus was crucified during the Passover feast and was called Agnus Dei, the Lamb of God who took the guilt of the world.

But the Lamb is an involuntary “sacrificial animal”, Jesus one voluntarily for the sins of humanity.

The biggest hypocrisy in Easter is, that everywhere at this time with sweet chicks, lambs and rabbits are advertised, which joyously hoppeln over the meadow, are happy and above all alive.

But still lambs and rabbits like to end up eaten as a roast on their plates for Easter.

In the name of “tradition”. In fact, because this society likes to adopt surrendering barbarities when they serve their fun and enjoyment.

The undercover research on this Video carried out by Animal Equality in various farms and slaughterhouses in Italy reveals the atrocities inevitably associated with the consumption of meat during the Easter holidays.

The worst thing is how lightly violence is used (Video). While it does not seem to be “fun” for the slaughterers to torture the animals, the brutal practices are carried out with such indifference and routine violence as if such a brutal murder were perfectly normal for them. With the same naturalness, the butchers would slit a sack of potatoes!!

Easter is a perverted blood orgy in the name of the religious tradition!
