The Miniature Museum “Miniatur Wunderland” in Hamburg makes various exhibitions on almost 1,500 square meters model area. The rooms are home to the largest model railway system in the world but it also keeps attracting attention with political messages.
This happened last week with animal welfare scenes that were built into the mini-landscape and deliberately provoke. The model makers had posted photos of the individual scenes on Thursday on their Facebook page..
This poster campaign against mass animal husbandry raises criticism. In the model railway exhibition mini-posters hang on which, for example, women are connected to milking machines,babies are driven directly after birth in the shredderor people sitting in mast stands.
“Good idea, very creative,” comments one user.
Another praises: “Great! It’s great that you show so much backbone, even if you certainly snub some of your customers / visitors.”
But the Farmers Association Schleswig-Holstein called the action on Facebook “abnormal” (!!!)

While we humans can cool off in the summer heat, the animals suffer all the more on the long transports. There is no cool summer evening waiting for them, no cold shower and all too often not even fresh water. The EU, as always, only discusses about it extensively, and during this time the transport continues unhindered in this weather. Some countries want to expose certain routes, but that’s not enough!
Again this summer millions of animals will have to suffer miserably under the heat on the transports.
Is it even allowed to transport animals in the summer over long distances?
Yes, as long as the temperature in the vehicles does not exceed 30 ° C (with 5 ° C tolerance upwards). This is stipulated by EU Regulation EC 01/2005 for animal transports over 8 hours. The vehicles must also be equipped with fans that – regardless of whether the vehicle is driving or standing – can ensure these limits.
Is the provision implemented in practice?
Usually not. For more than 20 years, Animals’ Angelshas documented that the competent veterinary offices also release animal transports in the summer months when temperatures above the limit values are to be expected on the way. Especially in the south of Europe and on the long export routes to Asia and Africa, we regularly document transports at temperatures above 35 ° C.

What are the consequences for the animals?
Transports at high temperatures inevitably mean stress and suffering for the animals. Thirst and dehydration often come along. In the worst case, the animals suffer serious health damage or even die during transport.
My comment: The Gandhi quote is often mentioned: “The size and moral progress of a nation can be measured by how it treats the animals”.
How big can a nation be that declares living beings to be “commodities”?
What is the size of a nation that identifies sentient beings as goods, such as grain, wood, chemicals, or machines just because they belong to another species?

The welfare of the animal (Article 13 of the Lisbon Contact) is not taken into account in a transport where the animal functions as a “commodity”.

All are sentient, intelligent and thinking beings with their own interests, physical, mental and social needs. All have the right to freedom and physical integrity.

Overproduction is neither responsible use of food nor is it environmentally conscious!
About a third of all food produced worldwide is not consumed, but thrown away! And it does not just affect fruits and vegetables, but also meat!
It is well known that meat production has a huge impact on the environment and that high meat consumption can have harmful effects on human health.
State economic aid not only rewards the increase in meat production, but produces more than consumers buy.
Meat is thrown away before it even reaches the supermarket shelves! Food waste occurs throughout the entire production chain – and although it is known, production continues to be subsidized and food waste increases!
It is shameful that supermarket chains only want to reduce their food waste by 2030!
Why not stop this overproduction immediately? You should just delete the subsidies!
For example, Europe imports cheap fruits and vegetables, but also meat from other countries where it is produced cheaply, processes it and then exports it to distant countries at low prices and destroys the market there! Is not it sick?
For years containers with tangerines or tomatoes from China have been coming to Europe, landing in Dossen and being exported to Australia, for example!

The world garbage dump closes!
Indonesia also sends plastic garbage back to its countries of origin after Malaysia and the Philippines.
More and more Asian countries do not want to be a garbage dump for the world.
Europe has been dumping its waste in China for decades – without many citizens in Germany knowing about it.
Now China has shut down. On January 1, 2018, China presented the world with a 111 million-ton trash problem!!!
To date, 56 percent of all plastic waste worldwide and 87 percent of all plastic waste from EU Member States have been exported to China. Germany has sent around 760,000 tonnes of plastic waste annually to China, as magazine “Die Zeit” reports.
After on January 1, 2018, China presented the world with a 111 million-ton trash problem and India followed the example of China, Europe and the US must seek new countries for their plastic waste. But already Malaysia and the Philippines have returned the containers containing the controversial plastic waste to their countries of origin.
Because, as was increasingly stated, the containers were marked incorrectly.
Allegedly, the containers should contain waste paper, and when the authorities checked the contents, it was dirty plastic waste including diapers.
