Hayek Hospital in Beirut, Lebanon: the first vegan Hospital-super!

“Patients will no longer wake up from surgery to be greeted with ham, cheese, milk, and eggs – the very foods that may have contributed to their health problems in the first place”

On March 1, Hayek Hospital in Beirut, Lebanon became the first hospital in the world to serve only vegan meals.

The menu change came after a transition period where Hayek offered patients a choice between animal-based and vegan meals, along with information about the health benefits of choosing plant-based foods versus the dangers of consuming animal products.

The hospital announced the switch on Instagram with a poignant post.

“Our patients will no longer wake up from surgery to be greeted with ham, cheese, milk, and eggs … the very food [s] that may have contributed to their health problems in the first place,” Hayek Hospital posted.

The hospital went on to address “the elephant in the room” citing examples of why animal products do not belong on hospital menus.

“When the World Health Organization classifies processed meat as Group 1A carcinogenic (causes cancer) – [the] same group as tobacco — and red meat as Group 2A carcinogenic, then serving meat in a hospital is like serving cigarettes in a hospital,” the hospital continued, pointing out that according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), three out of four emerging infectious diseases come from animals.

“When adopting a plant-based diet has been scientifically proven not only to stop the evolution of certain diseases but it can also reverse them,” the hospital posted.
“We then have the moral responsibility to act upon and align our beliefs with our actions”.

Taking the courage to look at the elephant in the eye. “

Instead of animal products, Hayek Hospital is now offering a variety of plant-based meals such as a fajita sandwich, vegan burgers, pizzas, and croissants, along with vegan versions of traditional Middle Eastern dishes such as shawarma platters, shish Barak, and labneh sandwiches.

And I mean…The fact that the Hayek Clinic in Lebanon is apparently the first hospital in the world that only wants to offer vegan catering sounds like an exciting – but actually overdue – development to us!

After all, the WHO made its warnings on processed and red meat known to the public many years ago.
Several other international organizations have been warning of the consequences of meat consumption for many decades.

Last year, a survey showed a staggering 83 percent of patients favor hospitals banning processed meat to ‘reduce cancer risk’.

The data came from the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM) who surveyed 200 patients in two Washington D.C hospitals.

It also found that 69 percent of patients feel it is ‘not important’ that hospitals offer bacon or sausage.

It’s time to create a healthier food environment.

A wonderful initiative, we are very happy and congratulate the Hayek Hospital in Beirut!

My best regards to all, Venus

Germany: murder in the Tönnies slaughterhouse-where is the joke?

A fatal dispute has broken out in Germany’s largest slaughterhouse.

A 34-year-old man subsequently died in the hospital. The background is currently still open.

In a dispute between workers at the Tönnies slaughterhouse in North Rhine-Westphalia, a man was killed in front of numerous colleagues on Friday.

According to a joint statement from the police and the public prosecutor’s office, a 35-year-old man injured his colleague (34) with a sharp object at around 7 a.m.

The younger one died in the hospital.
The urgent suspect was arrested. According to the police, the body should be autopsied in the afternoon.

The police set up a homicide commission under the name “Loop”.

A police spokesman did not provide any information about the background to the crime in Rheda-Wiedenbrück (Gütersloh district) with reference to the ongoing investigation.
It also remained open whether the suspect commented on the allegations.

According to Tönnies company spokesman André Vielstädte, the employee “died despite immediate first aid measures in the hospital”.

The incident occurred in a dismantling area (!!!)
Production had to be interrupted for hours in part of the operation for the criminal police to secure evidence.

According to a statement from Tönnies, the employee attacked his colleague with a knife. The police speak of a sharp object.

Managing director André Vielstädte promised the police and the public prosecutor’s office “full support” in the investigation.

Works council member Mustafa Kuyucu was shocked, according to the announcement: “We are sad and stunned by the act. Our condolences go to the family, friends, and colleagues of our employees.

We guarantee the relatives, colleagues, and friends of the victim all the help they need. “

Emergency chaplains took care of the eyewitnesses. The company has set up a hotline that employees can contact.

And I mean…Murder in the slaughterhouse!!!

So far so good, but where can we find the unusual?
It is normal for the killing factory to be brutally murdered every second in this animal industry system.
The only special thing about it: a human-animal was killed, not pigs or cattle, as is usual.

The sick system is now exposed; The murder assembly line is out of order for a few days, because someone is murdered there!
What gallows humor!

Thousands of living beings / Earthlings die every day in the cruelest way, and when a person is hit and suddenly the outcry in all media is great: Justice for the victim!

Sure, these people are victims of the system/society too.
They are exploited and put under pressure here – all power over accommodation, wages, work, and working hours lies in the hands of the manufacturer.

But they are also used to the most brutal violence against other creatures (cattle, pigs).
This case clearly shows who works in this profession. Or how one becomes when he works there.

Whoever cuts the throat of a cattle with a knife and remains deaf when the animal roars, who can slaughter the screaming goat in cold blood – how far is such a person from crime?

Now the alleged murderer is sentenced. When will we finally convict animal killers?

My best regards to all, Venus

Singing in the wail…

…as soon as we human animals fall into the role of victim, miracles suddenly happen.

Animal testing for the German military – what a shame!

Hundreds of animals die every year for weapons experiments and surgical training

During surgery training or experiments with poison gas, the Military “consumed” thousands of animals in recent years.
A request in the German parliament now revealed comprehensive figures for the first time!

When it comes to animal experiments, pharmaceutical research institutions are usually the focus of the public. However, it is less well known that the German military “consumes” hundreds of pigs, rats, and mice in experiments every year.

This is also due to the fact that such experiments are not fully disclosed in the Federal Government’s publications on animal experiments.

The answer from the Defense Ministry to a request from the parliamentary group “Die Linke” (The Left Party ) now creates clarity.

According to this, the Bundeswehr has used more than 7,500 animals in experiments over the past two decades.

Between 2012 and 2019, the group spent almost two million euros on animal experiments for training and for military technology and military medical research.

Around 85 percent of the animals were rats and mice. There were also 590 guinea pigs, but also 27 monkeys, 144 dogs, and more than 300 pigs, sheep, goats, and horses (!!!).

The overview of the uses shows: rodents were exposed to nerve agents such as VX, soman, or mustard gas, pigs were seriously injured to simulate nerve damage or anemia, rabbits were injured to cartilage, and the long-term effects of radiation were investigated in mice.

In order to train gunshot treatment, the military uses pigs as “wounded”.

And I mean…A new war has long since begun.
It is not a war in the traditional sense – but humans have been waging war against animals for a long time.

The tragic thing is: in preparation for the war against humans, weapons are tested on defenseless animals in the military.
Not only: nuclear, chemical, and biological warfare agents are tested

All weapons of human destruction are tested on animals in military laboratories around the world.
The cruelty of these attempts is beyond imagination

Absolute secrecy prevents any reporting on these attempts.

But animal experiments always have faces.

Mainly rodents, especially mice and rats, are used for the excruciating experiments.

Germany claims it has the best animal protection law in the world, but what takes place in the German research laboratories, we have often reported in many articles!

Please take the time and support PETA’s current petition on the subject. It is only a few clicks that can help save sensitive, sentimental beings from unbelievable torture.

Togo: The ‘Elbeik’ Livestock Carrier Is Still At Sea After 3 Months. Now We Demand International Political Action to Permanently Ban ALL Livestock Shipments By Sea.

WAV Comment – 14/3/21 – There is something grossly wrong with some people on this planet.  Unfortunately, I have to report to you that the ‘Elbeik’ livestock carrying vessel; loaded with 1,776 young bulls; is still in the Mediterranean sea after 3 months.

As we reported in other posts, the ‘Karim Allah’ which carried 895 young bulls, finally returned to Spain (Cartagena) recently and all the animals carried were slaughtered.  This time it is the 1,776 young bulls that are allegedly infected with bluetongue disease. This has not been confirmed, as no medical examination has been made possible to date. While it can be assumed that the authorities have failed, the health of the animals is believed to be very poor due to the extreme exposure.

With what has / is going on with these 2 vessels; there is an urgent need for international political action.  The two ships alone are representative of a sick system that must change; without even taking into account all the other animal carrying, sea going vessels that are crossing the globe at this present time.

The only way to prevent such catastrophes in the future is a clear ban on the transport of ALL live animals by ship; and we mean all; everywhere, period; not for a few months, but a permanent ban.

Three months have passed, during which the 1,776 young bulls on board the ‘Elbeik’ suffered not only from a shortage of water and food, but also from poor ventilation below deck. The vessel, which sails under the Togolese flag, disembarked in the Catalan city of Tarragona in mid-December last year (2020) and was on its way to Libya.

Upon arrival at the port of destination, the local authorities refused to unload the live cargo. The local authorities feared that animals infected with bluetongue were on board, as they came from a region in Spain where there had allegedly been an outbreak of this notifiable disease, Bluetongue, which is spread via insect bites, but is not transmissible to humans.

EU law states that live animals that have already been exported may no longer be re-imported into the EU. However, the fact that the animals have never set a hoof on soil in a third country is disregarded.

As we have always stated on this site, we have no time for the officials at the EU; in our opinion, they are useless at best.  We now put our voice behind the massive international welfare group call for a complete and utter ban on the transport of animals by sea; and a ban on all long distance international transport for animals that are currently transported by road.

We will try to post further updates on this tragic situation when we have more;

Regards Mark.
