Ranko Ilic is a man from Nis,born in November 23 1963 and lives in Bubanj. In his personal FB page had an album with the title “psi”,which means “dogs”in Serbian. In this album had some dogfighting photos. After several reports, FB took his page down.

THIS IS NOT ENOUGH!!!! Please report to the Interpol and the following Serbian organisations, dogfighting is illegal in Serbia,Ranko Ilic is an animal abuser and a big disgrace to the nation of Serbia,HE MUST BE CAUGHT!!!

Remember, this kind of stereotyping is responsible for countless deaths of loving, gentle and well adjusted pit bulls across the country. These innocent dogs suffer and die in shelters because it gives false verification to the public that pit bull type dogs are vicious.

Fighting dogs are kept isolated from other dogs.

Fighting dogs spend most of their lives on short, heavy chains, often just out of reach of other dogs.

The effects of dog fighting are devastating, please take a moment to speak up for the victims, find Ranko Ilic and bring him to justice!

Please include the following screenshots in your report.

Thank you

EU: Italy and Spain Reprimanded by European Commission – ? Serbia When It Becomes A Member State ? – For Non Implementation of Existing Animal Welfare Legislation.

Italy and Spain reprimanded by European Commission –

? Serbia when it becomes an EU member ? – for non implementation of animal welfare legislation ?

http://eurogroupforanimals.org/news/italy-and-spain-reprimanded-by-european-commission

Posted on 29/09/2011

Eurogroup for Animals welcomes today the European Commission decision to take further steps towards referring Italy and Spain to the Court of Justice for failing to respect EU rules on issues related to the well-being of animals.

  • In the first case, the European Commission called on Spain to take action to address serious deficiencies in the implementation of slaughter Directive. Indeed, during control missions, the Food and Veterinary Office found among other problems repeated failure to properly stun the animals before slaughter. The Commission is now giving Spain two months to comply with its obligations or the case may be referred to the EU court of Justice.
  • The second case is a reminder sent to Spain again about its obligation to comply with the Directive which protects zoo animals. Spain has already been condemned by the European Court of Justice (ruling of December 2010) for failing to adequately protect zoo animals and for neglecting to apply EU rules for the inspection and licensing of its zoos. Nearly a year after this ruling, the Commission has still no proof that licensing is working properly, or that substandard zoos have been closed. If Spain fails to respond appropriately, the Commission may return to the Court and ask for financial penalties.

As Serbia is seeking EU membership; the EU will need to review the current situation for animal welfare within Serbia – another nation that does not seem to be enforcing its national animal welfare legislation.

Review the recent situation at Novi Pazar ‘Zoo’:

https://serbiananimalsvoice.wordpress.com/2011/07/27/serbia-270711-investigation-reveals-illegal-zoo-operating-and-a-minister-who-does-not-have-a-clue-about-things/

  • The third and last case concerns the failure of Italy to adequately control and enforce the EU ban on the use of drift-nets, ruining marine habitats, endangering marine wildlife and threatening sustainable fisheries. Italy was previously found guilty at the European Court of Justice. The Commission has been persistenty calling on Italy to fulfill its monitoring and enforcement obligations concerning illegal drift-nets. However, recent on-site inspections show that they continue to ignore the issue. The Commission’s verifications indicate that drift-nets are still used illegally in Italy in large numbers.

Global: 04/10 /11 Is WORLD ANIMAL DAY. In Memory of ALL Animals Who Suffer Under the Human Species !

October 4th – World Animal Day– farm animals have little to celebrate

– zitten er zoals gebruikelijk miljoenen dieren binnen opgesloten en zullen nooit buiten  komen;
– worden er zoals elke dag duizenden dieren in veewagens geladen op weg naar hun dood;

On October 4th it will be “World Animal Day”, when millions of dollars will be spent on gifts and toys for our beloved pets. They will enjoy this extra loving attention that they very much deserve.
Eyes on Animals would like that farm animals also be considered on this day.

On World Animal Day, most farm animals will still:
– be locked in dark buildings without any access to the outdoors; no sunshine or fresh air.
– be loaded by the millions into trucks and onto ships to be transported, sometimes for days, to slaughterhouses around the world.
– have their testicles removed while fully conscious, their beak-tips burnt off, their ears notched, their tails cut, and their mother taken away.

This list is long. We know. But with your financial support, we can make this list shorter. One year at a time, one World Animal Day at a time.
Via our investigations and trainings, Eyes on Animals can improve the lives of farm animals.

As a non-profit charity based almost entirely out of volunteers, we are dependant upon your donations. We cannot do this work without you.

Please, on this World Animal Day, consider making a donation to give farm animals something to hope for.

Thank-you.

Uk: (England) Only in London – Thousands of Gorillas Are on the Streets !!

Hundreds of gorillas on the streets of London !!

This is not your average fun run –  it’s the GREAT GORILLA RUN!

SATURDAY 24 SEPTEMBER 2011

London’s best all-costume charity fun run – 1,000 people, all dressed as gorillas and going ape for a day.

“This is the most fun event for conservation going on anywhere in the world”   Bill Oddie

Since the first Great Gorilla Run in 2003, thousands of people have donned their gorilla suits and run, jogged or walked the 7km City and Bankside fun run route that takes in sights such as Tower Bridge and The Tate Modern.

Video;  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sD5wrag-N9M

If you’re looking for something unique and if you like dressing up, this is the charity fun run for you.

By doing the Great Gorilla Run, you’ll be playing a crucial role in helping save the remaining 720 mountain gorillas left in the wild.

Here’s what a previous Great Gorilla runner had to say:

“First can I thank you for organising such a hilarious event. Sheer genius. I haven’t run and laughed so much – ever! You should all be rightly proud of what you’ve achieved.”

The gorilla run team will provide you with great support in the lead-up to the run to ensure you reach your fundraising target and are in shape for the race.

And on the day, you’ll feel like a star as the crowds cheer you on every step of the way
