Dear all;

We have some great news.

A new animal welfare / rights organisation has been set up Serbia; they are called ‘ORPAK’ and are based in Krusevac city / municipality –

ORPAK was founded on 30th April 2010, and so are a very new and vibrant organisation.  Already, it can be confirmed that Slavica at EPAR Subotica is already working with Lela at ORPAK to take further forward many animal issues that exist in Serbia.

You can visit the ORPAK web site now by clicking on this link:

There is also an ORPAK video which displays a lot of their work and rescued animals, complete with donation information (at the end of the video) should you wish to support.

SAV has been given the following information from our new friends at ORPAK:

ORganization for the Protection and rights of Animals Krusevac “ORPAK” is a humanitarian, non-governmental, non-profit organization which advocates the improvement of law and protection of animals, which was founded on 30th April 2010 in Krusevac.

In these troubled times, animals need our help now more than ever before. We work to protect dogs, cats, horses, birds, rabbits and ALL animals. We carry out hands-on programs to help animals and nature, mount rescue operations, expose cruelty through hard hitting undercover investigations, work to pass laws to protect animals, support animal shelters and wildlife rehabilitation centres and spread the word about how to help animals and nature through humane education.

We depend entirely on donations to support our programs to help animals and the environment. All donations are gratefully acknowledged with a receipt for income tax purposes.

If you would like to support our educational campaigns that protect animals and the environment please make a donation.

Because when it comes to fighting cruelty, we don’t give up. EVER!

Thank you for your time.
Lela Bucek
President “ORPAK”

SAV welcomes our new friends at ORPAK into the ‘movement’ and look forward to further progress as an even stronger united animal force to continue putting pressure on the government and authorities to greatly improve the situation for strays and all other animals within Serbia.
