England: 3 In 4 – Intensive Animal Farming Is Killing Us.

Viva kill us 3

Hi all;

First; I have not really been able to post much over the last few days because of a big drop down on the system here – so apologies and I hope to get it fixed on 13/5. Fingers crossed !

Here are a few things just sent to me by Juliet – Founder and CEO of ‘Viva !’ here in England. I am writing this tonight (12/5) with the hope that if the system is back on tomorrow, then I can copy and post. Until then it has to wait.

The new Viva ! campaign is called ‘Three in Four’. As new and deadly diseases infect humans, and are appearing all the time; 3 in 4 of them come from animals. It is not the fault of the animal, simply the systems used by humans to keep them and slaughter them – intensive farming and slaughterhouse systems.

Is this not verified by the big infection rates for Covid 19 that we have seen in US slaughterhouse workers over the last few weeks ? – and as always, the ‘just animals’ from intensive systems; that are put through wood chippers and their mushed bodies spread all over the land.

In the mid 19th century, 1855 to be exact; a German pathologist; one Rudolf Virchow, was the first to discover that infectious diseases could be transmitted between animals and humans – a method that became known as ‘zoonoses’. In August 1958, more than a century later, the ‘World Health Organisation’ (WHO) expert committee on Zoonoses met in Stockholm, Sweden. The outcome of the meeting was a stark warning; the prevention, control, and eradication of these diseases were ‘responsibilities of considerable magnitude in every country’.

Move to 2020; now; and we are experiencing globally the disease called ‘Covid 19’.

Animal farming is killing us. 3 of 4 of the worlds new or emerging diseases are what is called ‘Zoonotic’. These diseases are responsible for 2,7 million human deaths per year and are largely transmitted through the wildlife trade and factory farming. In other words, most pandemics are due to people eating animals. So despite knowing the reasons of disease spread for over 150 years; now more than ever before, we are subjecting animals in terrible confinement in factory farms – the very cause of the problems, simply because some of us still wish a burger or sausage for their meal. It is a dangerous game; and cramming animals together in markets; and subjecting them to factory farming, only increases the risk of in house disease infection, as well as the mutations to the human species which results in infectious diseases.

Today, around 90% of all animals farmed for food and dairy across the world are kept in factory farms; where infections can easily spread, mutate and become infectious to humans. Because of the massive numbers of farmed animals involved; such as your typical chicken or pig production system, where huge numbers of animals are crammed together, jammed into farrowing crates, covered in their own waste; and forced to lie on hard slatted floors; pumped full of antibiotics, and surviving in a close environment which easily transmits disease and sickness from one animal to another; is it any wonder that intensive animal farming is killing us ? The huge complexes which imprison these intelligent animals and who at the end of the day only want financial profit, talk the talk when it comes to ‘animal welfare’. But the reality is rather different. The Viva ! 3 in 4 campaign is hitting the streets in the UK; and it calls for an end to intensive farming and for people also to go Vegan; to stop the suffering.

Covid 9 is showing us the bad side of intensive animal farming; we need to learn from it, and quickly, before intensive animal farming kills us all.

Regards Mark

‘Bird Flu 90 Times Deadlier Than COVID-19 Could Emerge From Factory Farming’ Warns Report

‘The majority of these diseases are the result of human activitAuthor:

Plant Based NewsPublish date:

A mutant bird flu 90 times deadlier than Covid-19* is ‘poised to emerge in humans’ from factory farming, a new report has warned.

The report, titled Zoonoses: a ticking time bomb, was published by animal advocacy organization Viva! and led by senior health researcher Dr. Justine Butler.

It cites scientists who believe the new mutant strain of the H5N1 bird flu virus could prove 90 times more deadly than Covid-19, and would be capable of killing six-in-ten of those infected.

Zoonotic diseases

According to Viva!, zoonotic diseases – those which spread from animals to humans – are ‘developing with increasing frequency’, with three out of four new or emerging infectious diseases in people coming from animals.

A statement sent to Plant Based News said: “Scientists are concerned that the global explosion in factory farming and wildlife markets could make the transmission of mutated strains of the H5N1 bird flu virus to humans much easier.

“They include familiar illnesses and diseases such as the common cold, influenza (flu), polio, AIDS and measles alongside other lesser known ones such as SARS, MERS, Nipah virus and Ebola.

“Most recently, Covid-19 has joined this growing list, having jumped from bats or other wild animals, to humans, leading to the current pandemic.

There are over 200 zoonotic diseases and 56 of them affect some two-and-a-half billion people and cause nearly three million deaths every year.”

‘The writing is on the wall’

In Zoonoses: a ticking time bomb, Dr. Butler writes: “The majority of both zoonoses and antibiotic-resistant diseases are the result of human activity, with factory farming and wild animal markets lying at the heart of the problem. The solution could not be easier – go vegan now!”

Zoologist and Viva! director Juliet Gellatley added: “The writing is on the wall. The global explosion in factory farming and wildlife markets has left humankind exposed to catastrophic pandemics that could kill millions of people.

“For the sake of generations to come we must heed the science and end our collective dependency on the horrific abuse of animals.”

*According to Viva!, the death rate of those infected by coronavirus is thought to be 0.66 percent. The death rate for those infected by a mutant H5N1 strain could be 60 percent. This equates to a H5N1 infection death rate 90.9 times higher.

Philippines: do not cooperate with the laboratory mafia

Prevents the capture of monkeys in the Philippines for the animal testing laboratory!

The Philippines has played little role in catching, breeding and exporting monkeys to the animal testing laboratory in recent years.

The authorities now have an application to catch long-tailed macaques from the wild in order to for sale for corona research. This must be prevented!

Please sign and share the petition!

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) in the Philippines has received at least one application asking to capture wild long-tailed macaques (Macaca fascicularis spp. philippensis) for research purposes.

This could mean a revival in farms breeding and exporting macaques for research, using newly trapped monkeys as a source.

Sign now so that the Philippines government is made aware of the international concern about the capturing of its native wild monkeys for research or any purpose.

Primates are intelligent and social animals and capturing and removing them from their native habitat and family and social groups is cruel and can result in injuries and even death.

Several official bodies and organisations recognise the suffering involved in the capturing of wild non-human primates.

For example, the International Primatological Society:

“the capture of nonhuman primates from the wild is stressful for the animals and increases the suffering, risk of injuries, spread of disease and even death during capture, storage and transport”.

Action For Primates and The Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) appeal to the DENR to protect wild populations of its indigenous primates, not remove them from their native habitat.

Macaca fascicularis spp. philippensis is listed under Appendix II of CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora).

The Philippines, as a signatory to CITES, has a responsibility to safeguard the conservation status of the species. Furthermore, according to the most recent assessment by the International Union for Conservation of Nature’s (IUCN) Red List of Threatened Species, Macaca fascicularis spp. philippensis is also listed as ‘Near Threatened’ with a population that is decreasing.

Threats identified for the decline in this species were given as hunting and habitat loss.

The DENR, in considering whether to grant a permit to capture the wild macaques, cites an increase in the monkey population and conflicts with people. Instead, we urge the DENR to adopt a humane approach to deal with any human-macaque conflict (!!!)

There are methods that can be used effectively to resolve conflicts humanely, including reproduction control, relocation and public awareness and education about measures people can adopt to discourage macaques from coming into their communities.

Petition: https://www.thepetitionsite.com/de/661/180/303/urge-the-philippines-government-to-deny-the-capture-of-wild-monkeys-for-research-purposes

My comment: The human species are becoming more and more and the animal species less and less.

We enslave the animals for our own purposes, we rob their freedom, their habitat and, in the end, their lives, and then we have the audacity to speak of conflict.

If something does not suit human animals, we talk about conflict and deliberately confuse effect with the cause of the conflict.

Whole families of Macaca philippensis are now to be torn apart to test for a virus that does not infect animals!!

That’s what the laboratory mafia and its researchers call “science”.
Should we trust these chess heads in our health?
A macaca alone has the intelligence that all laboratory researchers would bring together.

Please sign the petition, we may be able to prevent the Philippine government from catching and selling these animals to unscrupulous laboratory traders:

Germany: hysteria about stray foxes

It is not only since Corona that wild animals are spreading in cities. In Wernigerode (a town in the district of Saxony-Anhalt, in central Germany), foxes roam through a residential area and undermine garages.

At dusk the animals become active: Several stray foxes have been causing uncertainty in the city for several weeks.

A “real plague” is reported by a local resident (!!!)

In families, the red fur animals roam between the houses and dig their burrows under garages.

The resident himself has filled a hole under his garage for the fourth time in just a few weeks, and has now set up a waste paper bin in front of it – “so that at last there is peace and quiet,” (!!!) he says.

What worries residents in particular: They fear that the adaptable predators could transmit diseases such as rabies (!!!). And that the animals lose their shyness.

“Since the beginning of the Corona crisis – and the associated restrictions on public life and traffic in our district – we have seen it more and more frequently,” he explains.
Calls to veterinarians and other agencies have so far brought nothing.

City administration recommends scare

As the spokesman for the town hall says: “Prevention of predators is the responsibility of the private property owner and can be done relatively easily with the use of frightening agents. I also had contact with a local resident to whom I recommended this measure. The tip was gratefully received and should be implemented. “

Furthermore, the spokesman for the city administration recommends that those affected adjust their behavior: closed compost heaps, for example, are helpful in order to provide the survivors with no food. This also includes not storing leftover food in the garden and avoiding open feeding of pets outdoors. “Sometimes foxes are even fed, that should be avoided!”

According to the Federal Agency for Nature Conservation, the red fox is not subject to any species protection regulations in Germany.

According to the German Wildlife Foundation, these predators are not threatened, “but are among the big winners in our cultural landscape”.

They have spread rapidly in large cities.

In the 1980s and early 1990s, rabies had partially decimated the fox population.

Germany has been rabies-free since 2008, according to the World Organization for Animal Health.

And I mean... Of course, none of the residents wonder why the foxes leave the forest.

They are refugees.

We have driven them out and fought since the first day of their lives.

We have not wondered what we would do if others stole our houses, our country, if our children were murdered so that others could build their houses or businesses.

We are the only animals that accept coexistence when we rule and dominate.

The only real plague that I know, is the human plague.

My best regards to all, Venus

Facts

“You know what’s more insane than slaughterhouses? Meat-eaters, walking around, acting like their lifestyle isn’t causing any harm.” – G. Yourofsky.

And I mean…Regardless of whether you consider meat consumption as normal.

The fact that all governments shamelessly cheat meat consumers with lies and false information about the dangers in animal farms and slaughterhouses is more than insane

That`s why meat konsumption is collaboration with the world dictatorship “meat mafia”.

Killing for fun can never be a hobby – but a case for psychiatry.

The Swiss anti-hunting blog “Wild beim Wild” has done a study about the pseudo-hunter:

First we analyze what a hobby hunter is and then the pseudo hunter exactly.

According to Wikipedia, a hobby is a leisure activity that the person pursues voluntarily and regularly, which serves their own pleasure or relaxation and contributes to their own self-image, that is to say, forms part of their identity.

The word “hobby” is derived from the English hobby horse, which is translated as “hobby horse” in both meanings – children’s toys and leisure activities.

In our latitudes, hunting in the present is an activity that is mainly carried out in the free time by working people. The reason for this is that no one has to go hunting anymore to eat. The stone age is over.

Today, however, there is no ethics in favor of killing animals or eating meat, since we have been able to eat non-violently and healthily for a long time without having to go through the forest and fields in a murderous way.

When people used to hunt, this was done with respect for life and only to feed their own clans. For fun, foxes, birds and the like were not killed because one felt bored, was looking for relaxation through a misunderstood experience of nature.

You can turn it around as you like, hunting in German-speaking countries mainly takes place in the free time. This is not an invention by radical animal rights activists, but simply a fact.
Hobby hunters will always remain amateurs because they are not professional hunters or professional game keepers.

A pensioner in a shooting club who spends many hours a day in the forest is also a hobby hunter because he does this in his spare time.

Both the hobby hunter (indoctrination) and the gamekeeper (scientific expertise) can be well trained. However, theory is not everything.

A gram of practice is worth more than tons of theories.

It would not come to anyone’s mind to give a grump tournament with amateur footballers a higher quality standard than the Champions League with professional footballers.
It is crystal clear that with professional gamekeepers a completely different level takes the place of hobby hunters.

Many hobby hunters are apparently already overwhelmed with these simple connections and have great difficulties in classifying them mentally.

Hobby hunters claim: “The term ” hobby-hunter “ was constructed by militant opponents of the hunt to disparage the demanding activity of hunters”.

Can they also prove this or is it just nonsense again?

In any case, there is nothing to complain about in the term “hobby hunter”, “leisure hunter”, “amateur hunter”, etc., because the term describes a factually precise and flawless fact.

The pseudo-hunter

Pseudo is often used to express that a person or thing only appears to be something or someone, which in reality is not.

Hobby hunters are not real hunters as we know them from natural people, but always pseudo-hunters, who in their free time simply pursue a decadent, sadistic or even cruel hobby, which the right hunters of the natural peoples never approve or would do.

Today’s killing of animals by the modern hunter mainly results from greed, addiction, stupidity, enjoyment, indifference, anger, jealousy, pomposity, ostentation, showing off, jealousy, arrogance, ignorance, greed, selfishness, resentment and disregard for Living beings in general.

According to well-known scientists, researchers, wild biologists and case studies, it is easily possible and ethically responsible to leave game stocks in the modern, human-determined and designed environment.

The Canton of Geneva has known this modern wildlife management for over 40 years.

What hundreds of hobby hunters used to do badly, there is now done by a good dozen professional gamekeepers,do not massacre foxes, who intervene if necessary, and do not massacre foxes, badgers, birds and the like based on arbitrary hunting seasons or because of the joy of killing.

For good reason, we don’t have pedophiles teaching in schools either, although they could certainly also perform “demanding” tasks.
However, both pedophiles and hobby hunters have a disturbed relationship with the social norm.

Both groups have always targeted the weakest in society in an unchristian way, to relax, switch off, be one with nature, etc.

This is a hunter                                                         This is an asshole

And I mean…Hunters kill for pleasure
Psychopaths too.

What kind of person can enjoy taking the life of another living being?

Those who inflict pain and torture on defenseless animals with indifference also lose their humanity and compassion for their fellow human beings.
