Each year, millions of live farmed non-human animals are transported thousands of miles for slaughter—or to places where they will be fattened for slaughter. Live export, defined as “the commercial transport of livestock across national borders,” is still a widespread global occurrence, with around 3 million non-human animals shipped each year from Australia alone.
Every year 416 million animals are transported within Europe or across borders to third countries.
The individuals that are shipped, usually cows, sheep, and pigs, face cramped and overcrowded spaces, extreme temperatures, and exhaustion and dehydration due to lack of food and water.
Secretly taken pictures also show lambs born on board. They lie on the feces-covered floor of the ship. Such births at sea are actually prohibited by law.
But animals are considered as things.
Furthermore, with no room to move, they often become drenched in their own and other individuals’ excrement. It’s estimated that more than 100,000 litres of urine and faeces accumulate on a typical live-export ship every day.

Many of those who face this fate do not reach their final destination and instead die in transport. High levels of ammonia, due to the build-up of urine, cause the air to become toxic, choking and burning those on board.
In low temperatures, the container becomes like a freezer, and in higher temperatures, like an oven.

We must stop evaluating animals as our slaves.

Who is the “most dangerous animal”?
While the child lay unconscious on the ground, Jambo sat near him to protect him from other curious gorillas, this happened in 1986! The gorilla died in 1992 at the age of 32 years of a burst artery.

Thousands of animals are released on the land of the Republic of Austria without any permission and clearly against the will of the majority of the population, only to be shot down! the ducks are only used for hunting fun. It is a tragedy.
Every year, some oddly talented people expose thousands of breeding ducks from Hungary to the river systems of the Leitha in northern Burgenland, Austria.
A few years ago, they even stretched a net over the Leitha River so that the helpless animals would not be driven downstream.
But that could be banned by intervention from us.
Nevertheless, the ducks regularly land at the beginning of July in temporarily built enclosures on the riverbank, in numerous places. Few days later, the fences disappear and tons of wheat, corn and other food are being released daily in the countryside.
The landed property of these river systems belongs to the Republic of Austria, that is us.And there they are exposed to thousands of breeding cattle from factory farming, without asking us!
Through this fun the water is poisoned, contaminating the landscape. The responsible state councilor does not comment on this. Our ads were ineffective, although the mayor has publicly spoken out against this dropout.
Time to act.
Today, some “hikers” arrived at the river Leitha and accompanied more than 500 of the breeding ducks to Hungary. The still flightless young animals without parents joined the animal rights activists.
Updated: The 500 ducks have now disappeared in the Hungarian riparian forests in the thicket and hopefully safe from the shotgun hunters on the Austrian side. 🐦
My comment:Dr. Dr. Martin Balluch, the chairman of the “Association Against Animal Factories” (VgT) is a longtime and very dedicated animal rights activist.
With his long and courageous commitment he was able to record to some successes in animal welfare: the prohibition of fur farms and wild circuses, the prohibition of laying batteries, the prohibition of animal testing of apes and the caging of meat rabbits, the establishment of animal welfare as a state goal in the Federal Constitution and the ban on crates for mother pigs.
In the coming state elections, in Austria, he runs as an independent candidate for the list “Now” (JETZT) for animal welfare. I hope that he will be elected in Parliament so that he can also exercise political influence over animal rights.

The murders in the meat industry all have the same goal: to make money with the blood and suffering of the animals. This also applies to most politicians and lobbyists.
A few days ago, a ship with 70,000 (still) living beings has been send from the Romanianport Midia to the Midle East.
The hangmen of the Muslim and Jewish slaughterhouses are a bit different from the hangmen of European slaughterhouses.

Animal transports mean subsidies from Brussels and that is why corrupt politicians are involved in the business (as we see in the case of the 70,000 sheep from Romania to Midle East ).
In Europe we have something called Animal Welfare.
On the paper, we are right at the forefront.

“Nobody is allowed to cause pain or harm to an animal without an acceptable reason”.
For this we -the Europeans- have entrusted to some brain-brillant commissioners the preservation of this law. With our voice and our money.
In recent years, however, we observe a provocative cooperation (man calls it tolerance) of the “competent” commissioners with the animal transport mafia, and especially with countries that, as poor and weak EU partners, the meat business under any circumstances operate because that’s their main financial source. With devastating consequences for the animals.
They try to enforce their own interests and power games, nobody controls them, ( because according to EU, animal welfare is “country thing” ) so their chances of maximizing their profit are very high. Let’s put it this way: they have all the options to live from the animas und from their suffering. And they do it.
And now to the case “Midia”, Romania.

German Development Minister Gerd Müller returns to Germany on Sunday after a week’s state visit to Brazil and complains that the rainforest is being cut down!!

This soya is used by food and meat processors and is used for the rearing of chickens, pigs and cattle or for the production of eggs and dairy products, which are sold in manyGerman supermarkets and restaurants.
So if the topic of Amazon, climate change or CO2 is discussed, why is the issue of factory farming not mentioned?
Animal products are associated with high greenhouse gas emissions, water consumption and inefficient land use!
Cheap meat, milk and eggs can only be produced with cheap soybeans, which, however, cost the countries of origin expensive:Deforested rainforests, destroyed environment, poisoning of humans and animals are the result.
Only incompetent and irresponsible politicians have Germany.

And instead of finally abolishing factory farming or at least punishing criminal slaughterhouse operators, the slaughterhouse’s girlfriend, Agriculture Minister Klöckner, wants stricter penalties for activists exposing these crimes.
No more subsidies for the meat.
Meat consumption must be private, as well as smoking.
This state-subsidized factory farming must cost as much as the damage it does.

How primitive and anti-social can people be in the middle of Europe?
Bullfighting is a lucrative business.The arguments “tradition” and “culture” are only an invention of the bull mafia to get appropriate EU subsidies for this murderous spectacle.
The animal cruelty committed before the fight is kept secret from the public.Animals are tormented with devilish ingenuity.
Animal welfare organizations continue to fight with education campaigns against the martyrdom of the bulls.
Unfortunately, Spain is overwhelmed with its social system and invests in this “tradition” of the primitive, millions instead of investing in the education system.
Furthermore, in the high season and with thunderous applause from the spectators, around 30,000 animals die each year in the arenas.
Almost none of the few brain-sick Europeans who regard this form of sadism as a “culture” and pay to see how a defenseless animal is massacred knows what really happens before the fight.
We will tell them that!
It starts with the days of transporting the bulls to the arena. In narrow containers they are brought on trucks in burning sunshine. Some lose up to 30 kilos and are so weakened that they collapse as soon as they are driven out of the stalls with iron forks.
Then the horns are counted. The animals are clamped in a headgear to saw off the horns, and then they are filed in a natural looking pointed shape.

In the Dutch city of Utrecht, 316 bus stops have now become an oasis for bees and other pollinators. These bus stops not only look good and help prevent bee mortality, but also provide better air quality in Utrecht.
The fact that something has to be done to tackle pollution in the cities has already arrived in many countries.
Not yet in Germany !!
The bus stops are now covered in sedum plants – succulents that can purify the air – and these attract bees whose populations have declined, as well as butterflies.
The roofs also absorb fine dust and store rainwater.
Sedum plants are robust and winter resistant. This plant is a subspecies of succulents.
Like the succulents, sedum plants can live everywhere due to the very robust construction of the leaves and thus also on roofs.
Bee mortality is increasing alarmingly worldwide – and also in the Netherlands.
In the Netherlands, a Bee Foundation has been set up, which has been working for bees since 2010, protecting them from extinction.
The citizens of Utrechtare also invited to turn their own roofs into “green roofs” and they can apply for special subsidies. The city suggests residents replace their worn-out roofs with green roofs instead of having them traditionally renovated.
My comment: A great idea that every city and every country should implement!
Everyone talks about the climate, nobody does anything.
The last media manipulation with the “climate Greta” is known, and except for the tremendous media attention this campaign received, something else did not work.
The Dutch have started to protect the climate in practical areas, and that is effective and useful.
