We have been working with Gordana over the last few weeks regarding these dogs. At one point we hoped it may be possible to bring them to England for finding new homes; but this has turned out to be impossible,
So now it is critical that new homes are found in Serbia for these dogs – and as quickly as possible,

30th September 2017 : Is there anybody who can help this five rescued dogs to be adopted?
I lost part time job, I will be soon homeless if I don’t find job. This dogs are dependent on organization with sharing dogs posts. I cannot do anything else if owner of dogs doesn’t want dogs back, I can only ask public communal company who have shelters in Serbia if they can take dogs, if they cannot help to take dogs I can only return dogs back on the streets. I don’t have anywhere to keep dogs, dogs are at the moment in the shelter Pansionzapse Maza. If anybody can help please let me know or tag yourself in this post so dogs get more attention to be faster adopted or please share post to help dogs with adoption.

Regarding our recent post of the dog that was run over and left by the driver of a car in Belgrade- see our post at:
The latest news is that campaigners are still waiting for the official police report.
It is known that VU Veterina Belgrade took the dogs body after the incident; and that an autopsy was undertaken.
Contrary to first reports, it turns out that the dog was NOT a stray, but instead did have a microchip which will allow the owner to be traced.
The registration number and vehicle type are also very clear from the photograph as you can see below, so there are no excuses in any of the areas to allow the police to complete their work and produce a report of the incident, including news of what action will be taken against the driver of the car.
As things are on going, we will not currently release e mails of contacts as we said we would if there was no response from the authorities by 30/9. But unless an official police report is completed and made visible to all soon we will have no hesitation in releasing the e mail addresses of all police and authorities involved.

Update 19/9/17 –
Hi Mark,
This is proof from VU Veterina Belgrade, that the firm that removes the corpse took the dog’s body under the bottom left-hand spot, the body of the dead dog
The dog is chipped and looking for the owner
The autopsy is mandatory by official duty in every case of crime.
I insist on abduction-autopsy .

Here is a photograph of a stray dog which was killed by the driver of a car in Belgrade. As you can see from the photo; it appears that the driver of the car just walked away from the incident, leaving the animal under the wheels of the vehicle.
Slavica (EPAR) in Serbia; and also ourselves, have written to the Belgrade authorities to ask what actions they and the police are taking. It is clear from the photo the vehicle details; so the police should have no problem identifying and contacting the driver / owner.
We have given the authorities until 30/9/17 to provide us with an update of actions. If we have not heard anything back from them by then, we will have no option but to involve supporters.
Below are Slavica’s and our letters.
Extra 18/9/17 – this type of animal abuse must not be allowed by a state (Serbia) wishing to join the EU.
We sent our letter to the EU (Enlargement Commissioner Hahn) – responsible for reviewing applicant member states. We have now had confirmation that he has seen our letter.

Hi Mark,
Can You, please, help by SAV in matter of Dogs by Duda.
She cares for about 30 dogs and many cats too, but now she has no food, and the Winter is in front of us, and in winter animals even need more food, but she has nothing, No food as for dogs, or for cats , and Mrs. Duda needs urgent help.
Please help Mrs. Duda, a great person and animal lover in Nova Pazova, near Belgrade, she needs help as soon as is possible..

PLEASE read the story about Azra, so heartbreaking. Azra doesn’t deserve this, so PLEASE anyone who might help her to continue the therapy, do it!

The Story
This is Azra, the beautiful girl whose ‘owner’ obviously does not care too much about her because he allowed her to come to this situation, and the situation is following: the carcinoma of the vagina whose type we still do not know because it requires a departure to vet clinic in Belgrade, after the suggestions of the veterinarians in Bor where Azra lives, and the pathohistology has to be done.
What the veterinarian suggests is a quality surgery of an experienced surgeon, which again requires a visit to Belgrade, and for which there is no money.
Jovan Joja Cvetkovic took over the dog as soon as he found out about her, since ‘the owner’ does not want to do anything about her, moreover, after her cancer appeared he completely abandoned her and left her on her own.
I am asking you that we all together help Joja and AZRA to win this battle, not to give up on her without even trying. At least we owe it to Azra and him. By going to Belgrade and hopefully being operated, Azra has already begun receiving therapy in Bor with cytostatics, which costs a lot.
HELP for paying the treatment and Azra’s departure to Belgrade and eventual surgeries is more than welcome!
It is going to be hard and expensive according to vet, but AZRA deserves to live!

LOZNICA RESCUES NEED HELP WITH THEIR VACCINATION’S, SPAYING’S AND NEUTERING’S: LET’S DO THIS RIGHT FOR THESE DOGS!
After those celebrating moments when we had your breathtaking support and we were fighting together to save as many lives as possible, came the time when isolation period was over and the need for vaccinations, testings, spaying’s and neutering’s has started.
All 49 last saved dogs plus almost 90 previously rescued are now ready for their first vaccination against infectious diseases and each every one of them needs 4D testings, ultra sounds, neutering’s and spaying’s.
WE ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF SPAYING’S AND NEUTERING’S, BUT WE WERE FORCED TO STOP AS ALL FUNDS ARE AT THE ROCK BOTTOM, CONSUMED BY THE COSTS OF THE RESCUE AND IMMEDIATE AFTERCARE AT THE VETS.
Many of the dogs who were already brutally butchered with primitive surgery in the kill shelter, need their neuter and spaying redone properly. On the top of our worries, that time of year has come and many unspayed females are currently in the heat, which makes our kennels very hard to control – and males clash.

The cost of each vaccine is 12.50 euros, the cost of each 4D test is 20 euros and the cost of reworking the tens of botched neutering and spayings varies from 25 euros up to 90 euros for some of the badly botched females to be redone and cleared of infections, plus 20 euros for previous ultra sounds.
It is a lot when numbers add. It is a lot for anyone to do this alone. But, we are not alone!
