At the age of around three months, Tony found himself in someone’s yard all alone, with no idea how he got there. A nice cat loving old lady took him in but he was way too mischievous for her to handle, plus she already had her own cats, so she turned to us for help.
He arrived at the shelter in October, a little black soft furry creature that fit in straight away, he befriended Chantal and Hannah and has been living his carefree life of a spoiled kitty ever since, running around, eating, sleeping and having fun.
Although he was abandoned when he was still a baby and seemed to be just one of many confused little ones with an uncertain future, Tony has started off on the right paw and will hopefully have many wonderful years ahead here with us.

23.12.15. update Holly and Buddy are brother and sister about a year old. Very friendly and cuddly, medium size dogs (Buddy is slightly bigger then Holly). They go well with other dogs, cats and adore children. Fully vaccinated and spay/ neutered,. looking for a homes. mushrooms are sponsored by Natalie Manning.

They are now fully vaccinated .A boy and a girl, Buddy and Holly. About three and a half months old. went into the woods to look for mushrooms. and I came home with this two. Someone left them in the woods on the way to the mountain. What to say, Left them a great chance to survive; it is a boy and a girl. Tomorrow I’ll know more: how old they are, how much will growing. For now they have no names, I call them ‘mushrooms’. Please if anyone can be a sponsor of these puppies. They need food, pills against parasites, vaccines…

It’s been another amazing year for the animals thanks to your kind support.
In 2015, we rescued over 40 bears and ENDED BILE FARMING FOREVER in one Vietnamese province.
To thank you for all your generous support over the past 12 months,
I’d like to share with you a wonderful video of the bears enjoying their Christmas treat of fruity mince pies! Please go to my blog to watch the bears.
I could watch these beautiful animals all day, some scampering through their enclosures or climbing high to sniff out their favourite fruity treats…. Others shuffling though the grass poking eager noses into hollow logs and haystacks. All with the sun on their backs and freedom in their hearts… the brutal bile farms a world away.
Thank you for giving these bears the chance to experience freedom and joy! One of these bears is orphaned cub Murphy.
He’s spending his first Christmas with us – and that means his first mince pie party!

Small Shelter NIS Serbia Dog Food & Veterinary Care Project
120 Euros still needed – please dig deep; if everyone gave just a few Euros, this shelter would have a great Christmas !
We will be using this Project to raise funds to provide food and veterinary care for the dogs and cats at Small Shelter NIS.
We currently have 24 dogs and numerous cats at the shelter and on the streets whom need food daily. We provide vet care to any animal in distress and we also contribute to spaying the animals. Neutering at this time in NIS is still free for male dogs. Our funds are limited and resources stretch so every penny donated is so much gratefully received, we could not continue without your support, we thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.
However we can never be complacent and try to ensure we raise funds ourselves with our wonderful BUY IT NOW page on FB. In addition, we have a new expense which is a monthly payment for the use of the land the shelter is on. This fee is 40 euros a month.
We also have had to employ the services of a dog walker, NISA. He is a great help to the Shelter and provides long walks twice weekly (the dogs on rotation) in lovely surroundings not far from the shelter, which also boasts a lovely river if any of the dogs wish to have a SPLASH ! and cool down from the hot summer. This is important to their routine and very much welcomed and also gives them quality time away from the day to day tedious routine at the shelter. This fee is 21 euros every 7 weeks.

Dear friends, we have great news;
– the amazing Nancy and her wonderful organization Straydogs Belgium have lightened up these gloomy days by donating some high quality cat food and cat supplies to our more than grateful Felix kitties.
All of them were beyond excited when they saw what they had gotten and thoroughly checked every single item before they gathered together for a snack.
These gifts couldn’t have arrived at a better moment and we’d like to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation for the huge help we’ve received!
All of the kitties in the shelter are safe and loved for life, but they do need help; especially to keep them both warm and fed during these cold winter months.

One more left and forgotten sweetheart… Dogo Argentino zenkica looking for a home! It’s old to 2 years and can’t stay for long in temporary with housing. Nature’s beautiful, she’s good with people and other dogs. Not Cipovana, she was found in nd. Sterilization is mandatory, houses with contract about responsible ownership.

Zoro was left on the street…alone and scared,she was running away as I tried to approach.For five days she was hiding in the abandoned garage untill we managed to capture her…Now ,after two months she is fully recovered and trusting people again.She is great with kids and other dogs….And she is in a desperate need of a loving home

THESE DOGS DO NOT HAVE FOOD… FOR SEVERAL MONTHS, WE CAN NOT RAISE ENOUGH MONEY FOR FOOD, FOR THE ENTIRE MONTH… BECAUSE OF THAT DOGS SUFFER, ESPECIALLY THE SICK AND INJURED DOGS, WHO NEED TO EAT SPECIAL FOOD, WHICH WE CAN NOT BUY.

Lina’s Animal Rescue has lot of ill dogs in this moment … Charlotte was at vet 4 times , she first had sand in bladder , and then that infection woke up her Babesia . she is under therapy now . Sara had problem with her bladder ( normal for dogs in wheels ) and she is under therapy . Negra had inflammation of throat , she also got therapy . Cupko was on control because he had heart worm and now we must check his health – he has bigger heart . Indy was on control for epylepsy . Total amount of bills , therapies and fuel are 250e ! Please help us with this costs so we can continue their treatments .Sara and Charlotte must eat special food , Cupko also ( for rest of their lives).

Give an unadopted shelter dog a Christmas dinner
Ladies & Gents,
At Christmas time, when we are so preoccupied with purchasing gifts for family and loved ones, often we forget about those who have nobody but us to help, our four legged friends in shelters. When we’re so busy organising the perfect family Christmas, sometimes it just slips our mind that our furries need to eat too. We just want to remind you, that in the spirit of the season, the season of giving, how truly desperately, we need to keep our dogs fed and warm. At Christmas, during the coldest point in the year, our dogs need more food for fuel just to keep warm.
Please, we are begging you, don’t forget about our rescues. They need our help. If you could donate the cost of just one meal for our dogs over the Christmas period, you will help more than you could imagine.
We have more than 35 dogs and 3 cats under our care and many of them are fighting different health issues or require special medicine food. Like renal food for our 14 year old mix breed old girl Ava, or royal canine baby milk for the litter of five babies we found thrown by the road while they were still blind. All of them will look at us for Christmas dinner and with your help we will succeed. Because at Christmas time we must not forget to count our blessings and share a little love with those unfortunate ones.
