Serbia: 17/10/14 – ‘Nani’ Deer Latest. Still No Action From Serbian Minister; But Nani Campaigners Now Take Action With EU MEP’s !

17/10/14

The situation at this present time is that ‘Nani’ deer is still being retained by the hunters.

STILL NO ACTION by Serbian Minister of Agriculture,

Mrs Bogosavljevic Boskovic;

Serb Minister 1

Above – Minister Boskovic

On this post you will see the latest photographs from 16/10/14.

10

We are now approximately 2 months into still not having a decision / action by Serbian Minister of Agriculture, Mrs Bogosavljevic Boskovic; who originally had 30 days for acting in agreement to Article 58 of Serbian Law for Animal Welfare.

We consider this shows just how chronically bad the Serbian Ministry of Agriculture is as it is still not capable of making a decision some 30 days BEYOND its final decision date under existing Serbian Law !!

SoOn 16/10/14 SAV made telephone contact with Members of the European Parliament (MEP) in London to explain the current situation of Nani and the fact that Serbian Minister of Agriculture, Mrs Bogosavljevic Boskovic is incapable of still making a decision on the future of Nani.

We constantly reminded MEP’s that any member state currently seeking EU Accession (membership) must be continually showing that it is ‘applying the rule of law’ with regard its own national legislation.

 11

Applying the Serbian rule of law is certainly not the case regarding the situation with ‘Nani’, as Serbian Minister of Agriculture, Mrs Bogosavljevic Boskovic originally had 30 days for acting in agreement to, and implementing Article 58 of Serbian Law for Animal Welfare.

 2

By not applying its own rule of law, Serbia is NOT currently meeting the membership requirements even needed to be considered for EU membership.  We again reminded the MEP’s of this situation, who are going to work further on the issue of ‘Nani’ today; 17/10/14.

 3

Making a decision on the future of a deer is not ‘rocket science’, and yet Serbian Ministers DO NOT seem capable of doing it.  Is it a corruption issue between the Ministers, police and hunters one has to question; or is it simply that Serbian government ministers cannot and do not wish to apply existing Serbian legislation (laws) to the running of Serbia ???

 4

Something in Serbian legislation is drastically wrong, and we suggest it starts at the top and works down, from Ministers such as (Serbian) Minister of Agriculture, Mrs Bogosavljevic Boskovic.

From the very start, we said that we would never give up on the issue of ‘Nani’; until Nani is rightfully returned to adoptive parent and carer Mrs Mitic.  This is still the case; until we get a decision that Nani returns to Mrs. Mitic, we will continue to show to you, and to EU MEP’s, that Serbia is NOT enforcing its own rules of law.

 5

The Serbian government has to live with that – do they abuse their own national legislation system and continue to be shown by organisations such as us that they are certainly not worthy EU membership candidates at present; or do they implement Serbian national law, do the right this and return Nani deer to owner Mrs. Mitic.

 6

We were informed by London on 16/10 that we would be getting an update on the situation with regard their actions in the very near future.  We will post this as applicable on this site.

Article – Speak out to save the life of baby deer ‘Nani’:

Petition

 Petition wording:

Hunters and the police took away a motherless baby deer from his home and his foster and now want to put him into a zoo. Their first plan was to slaughter him (as it is the usual practice here), but because of the public reaction the baby was saved. However he is not cared for properly. He has diarrhea and shows signs of stress and fear. He misses his caretaker very much and that feeling is mutual. The struggle to gain him back lasts for more than two weeks. Authorities are not doing their job and it may cost this baby deer’s life. Minister of Agriculture can issue an order that will bring Nani back home and there is a legitimate possibility for that however that is not happening even though Nani’s family has requested it. If Nani ends up in a zoo it will seal his life as a captive animal for good. Please help!

America‘s wolves need our help!

America’s wolves were nearly eradicated in the 20th century. Now, after a remarkable recovery in parts of the country, our wolves are once again in serious danger.

Federal sharpshooters are preparing for aerial wolf killing in Northern Idaho.

In Montana, the anti-wolf Sportsmen for Fish and Wildlife are offering a $100 bounty per dead wolf.

Wyoming is moving forward with a plan that would allow wolves to be shot on sight across much of the state, including in National Forests and in some of the best available gray wolf habitat in the state.

Politicians in the Southwest are preventing the release of Mexican gray wolves into the wild – despite critically low wolf numbers that threaten a second extinction in the wild for these rare wolves.

Hi Mark

todays pics news : there is no news in case Nani.

It is not normal from 10.8.2014. to today- no one  official word from nobody here.

Situation is too long for Nani deer and poor Cameroon female – she is the only goat which has now not been killed by the hunters.

Thanks

We at SAV are sending the pictures of Nani taken every time to the EU.

We have also been in contact with the EU regarding the situation and the Serbian Law of animal welfare in relation to making a decision about what was going to happen to Nani.  We are now almost 2 months into still not having a (still) lack of decision / action by Serbian Minister of Agriculture, Mrs Bogosavljevic Boskovic; who originally had 30 days for acting in agreement to Article 58 of Serbian Law for Animal Welfare.

We consider this shows just how chronically bad the Serbian Ministry of Agriculture is as it is still not capable of making a decision some 30 days BEYOND its final decision date under existing Serbian Law !!

We will continue to take pictures, publish them on SAV and also send them to the EU for as long as it takes.  We will continue to show the dramatic inability of Serbian Minister of Agriculture, Mrs Bogosavljevic Boskovic, to make any decision, until she does the right thing and makes a decision to send Nani deer back to Mrs. Titic; the adoptive parent.

England: The Use of Wild Animals In Circuses Could Be 10 Days Away – Please Take Action Now !

England

http://www.captiveanimals.org/

Circus CAPSPhoto: CAPS.

Captive Animals Protection Society, PO Box 591, Manchester, M12 0DP, England UK.

Tuesday, October 7th, 2014

The second reading of Jim Fitzpatrick’s Bill to ban the use of wild animals in circuses was blocked on the 5th September in the House of Commons. This is common practice and something which is disappointing, but not unexpected.

The second reading has been rescheduled for the 17th October, and that day is fast approaching!

If you have not done so yet, please write to your MP to ask them to support the Bill at its rescheduled second reading on the 17th October.

Please click the link below to find the email address for your MP now and send that email before it’s too late!

YES! I want to take action now!

Background to the Bill

On the 3rd September 2014, Jim Fitzpatrick MP brought forward his “Ten Minute Rule Bill” to ban the use of wild animals in English circuses.

The “first reading” carried out in Parliament is the first of a number of steps needed if we are to see Jim’s Bill become the long-awaited law which will see an end to the suffering of wild animals exploited by the circus industry. The Bill passed on that day to the second reading stage unopposed, which is promising news, but there is still much to be done

It is widely accepted that Bills introduced by backbench MPs are notoriously difficult to get onto the statute book so it is absolutely vital that we take every step possible to support the Bill before its second reading on the 17th October.

That’s why we are asking you to write immediately to your MP to ask them that they support Jim Fitzpatrick’s Bill to ban wild animal circuses.

Please click the link to find the email address for your MP now and send that email before it’s too late!

YES! I want to take action now!

Said CAPS Director, Liz Tyson:

“Despite promise after promise, the government has failed to come good for the animals still being exploited daily by UK circuses. This is an opportunity to make our voices heard. We know that you have written time and time again to officials on this issue but we need you to do it again. Please act now if you haven’t already”.

CAPS and campaign partners at the Born Free Foundation, British Veterinary Association and the RSPCA, along with other animal protection groups and individual campaigners, have worked to see this ban implemented for decades.

As part of a joint initiative in the last few months, over 2,000 emails have been sent from CAPS supporters to David Cameron and Nick Clegg asking them to honour the government’s promise to ban.

A public consultation in 2010 saw 95% of respondents calling for an end to the use of wild animals in circuses.

You can write to Cameron and Clegg too, by using the link below.

Serbia: ‘Nani’ Deer Update 6/10/14. EU MEP Now Asked For Legal Advice Against Serbian Minister Due To Non Compliance With Serbian Animal Welfare Legislation.

Serbian Flag

UPDATE ‘NANI’ 6/10/14

4

The current situation with Nani the deer is not good.  As you can see from the photographs below showing the conditions; Nani is not being looked after by the hunters very well at all – what would we expect ? !!

Today we at SAV have been in contact with the EU regarding the situation and the (still) lack of decision / action by Serbian Minister of Agriculture, Mrs Bogosavljevic Boskovic; who originally had 30 days for acting  in agreement to Article 58 of the Serbian Law of animal welfare in relation to making a decision about what was going to happen to Nani.

We are now asking the Enlargement Commission of the EU to seriously consider Serbia’s lack of action to ‘enforce its own law’ – enforcing a nations own ‘rules of law’ a fundamental requirement of any state seeking EU membership for the future.

In addition, we have telephoned the office of a UK MEP and asked them to advise us if we are now able (as another European member) to take legal action against the Serbian Agriculture Ministry for not acting in agreement to Article 58. of Serbian Law of animal welfare, which requires a response (in this case, for Nani) within 30 days.

See also:  https://serbiananimalsvoice.com/2014/10/04/serbia-41014-hunters-kill-goat-kept-with-nani-using-a-knife-and-still-no-response-from-minister-of-agriculture-mrs-bogosavljevic-boskovic-over-future-of-nani-deer-serbian-polit/

The Serbian President has even written to the Serbian Agriculture Ministry regarding the situation of Nani the deer; but to date, we still have had no response from Agriculture.  See the letter from the President to EPAR informing them of the situation and the requirements of the Ministry of Agriculture at:

https://serbiananimalsvoice.com/2014/10/03/serbia-31014-nani-update-serbian-president-now-writes-to-agriculture-ministry-about-issue-asking-them-to-respond-to-epar/

We are hoping to hear back from the EU in London today (6/10/14) regarding how we can further progress regarding the issue of Nani; as Serbian Minister of Agriculture, Mrs Bogosavljevic Boskovic does not appear to be capable of complying with any rules of Serbian law. The 30 day final decision time was passed several weeks ago.  If this is the case, that Serbia cannot even enforce it own laws within Serbia, then the EU needs to be reminded of this situation; and it has been today.

Here below are the latest photographs of Nani and the conditions it is currently living in at present at the facility of the hunters.  These pictures are also being forwarded to the EU today to further support our claim that Mrs Bogosavljevic Boskovic is not complying with Serbian law or that required for Serbia to become a future member of the EU.

Nani should be returned to Mrs. Mitic immediately for her to become the adoptive parent she was after hunters killed the mother of Nani.

It is not asking the world, but Minister Mrs Bogosavljevic Boskovic seems to delay ever having to make a very simple decision.  It is now time she made a decision in favour of returning Nani to Mrs. Mitic as the gaurdian / parent.

USA: Please Act Before Honey Bees Are Extinct !

USA1

bee

I just signed an urgent petition save bees from deadly pesticides, will you join me?

In a few days’ time a task force will recommend what the White House should do about these poisons, and if we get 3.5 million people to call for a ban, and deliver our call in time, we can help prevent honey bees going extinct.

See the massive petition here:

https://secure.avaaz.org/en/save_the_bees_us_pet_loc/?kwwttib

Thanks

Mark – SAV.

Dear friends,

Silently, billions of bees are dying off and our entire food chain is in danger. Bees don’t just make honey — they are a giant, humble workforce, pollinating 75% of growing plants. But in days the US could move to ban the toxic pesticides that are killing them off.

We know we can get a ban — after a mega Avaaz campaign last year, the EU banned this group of poisons that multiple scientists blame for bees’ rapid demise.

Right now chemical companies are furiously lobbying US authorities to stop action. But insider allies say a massive public mandate could tip the scales towards a ban. Let’s give it to them! If the US moves, it will set in motion a ripple effect on the rest of the world.

We have no time to lose — members of the White House’s bee task force will report with proposals in days. Already 3.2 million of us have backed this campaign. Let’s race to send messages to the heads of the task force before the meeting. This is not just about saving bees, this is about our survival.

Click to send a message now:

https://secure.avaaz.org/en/save_the_bees_us_sam_loc/?biVEiab&v=47259

Bees are vital to life on earth — every year pollinating plants and crops with an estimated $40bn value. Without immediate action to ensure bees’ continued pollination, many of our favourite fruits, vegetables, and nuts could vanish from our shelves and ⅓ of our food supply will be gone.

Recent years have seen a steep global decline in bee populations — some bee species are already extinct and just in California — the biggest food producer in the US — beekeepers are losing a third of their bees each year. Scientists have been scrambling for answers. While some studies, often funded by the chemical companies, argue this may be due to a combination of factors including disease, habitat loss and toxic chemicals, powerful independent studies conclude neonicotinoid pesticides are to blame.

It is this startling evidence and super effective campaigning by Avaaz and partners that won the EU ban. The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is required by Congress to regulate toxins, but under the influence of big chemical companies, for years they’ve fudged the law. Now the White House’s ‘Pollinators Health Task Force’ could get the EPA to cancel the pesticides’ registration so they can’t be sold in the US. This is our chance!

The task force reports in days. Already 3.2 million of us around the world have backed this campaign. Let’s race to send thousands of messages to deliver our call to the heads of the agencies who sit on the task force before they reach their decision:

https://secure.avaaz.org/en/save_the_bees_us_sam_loc/?biVEiab&v=47259

We can no longer leave our delicate food chain in the hands of chemical companies and the regulators that are in their pockets. Banning these pesticides will move us closer to a world safe for ourselves and the other species we care about and depend on.

With hope,

Terra, Alex, Alice, Ari, Nick, Laila, Marigona, Ricken, and the rest of the Avaaz team

Serbia: 4/10/14 – Hunters Kill Goat Kept With ‘Nani’ Using A Knife – And STILL NO RESPONSE From Minister of Agriculture, Mrs Bogosavljevic Boskovic Over Future of ‘Nani’ Deer !!! – Serbian Politicians, A Law Unto Themselves.

He was a nice little African-Cameroon goat.

You saw  on pics from farm where Nani is, was female and male Cameroon goats.

Hunters killed him by knife – poor little, had no chance, was slaughtered yesterday.

Things like this one ,are typical for homo sapiens brutal animal species, this species  knows and do  hating and killing for fun – no  one species never  kill for enjoy- only  brutal morbid homo sapiens species, even doesn`t know what is its natural food .

I am very sad and only my feelings are Sad and deep Shame.

And below; the story from the past on the future of Nani Deer; as of today – 4/10/14 – still no decision on the future of Nani deer; despite intervention from the President.  See our recent post about this.

You could say Serbian politicians at the Ministry of Agriculture appear to do exactly what they want to do, rather than what the Constitutional laws of the country require !!!!

Minister of Agriculture, Mrs Bogosavljevic Boskovic  originally had 30 day for  acting  in agreement to Article 58. of Law of animal welfare – but she did not .

That is why I send  to her  a letter by which I remind her for her law obligation.

It is in opposite to law that state any organ  go to be silent – must answer
and the Answer must be in agreement to laws.

In agreement to Serbian laws this Minister must send  ( into 30 days  from
official Request  ) Decide about back Nani deer to Dragana Mitic and Nani`s
home,  because all evidences  speak to this form Decide.
