We have been informed of a situation in Jagodina city, Serbia, regarding a Private dog shelter which has around 60 dogs.
We understand that 12 dogs at the shelter have been killed by poisoning. It is thought that this poisoning is possibly the work of the local public firm for garbage collection. Regardless of calls to the police by the owner of the shelter, the police have informed that they are not interested and would not be acting.
The situation here is very much ongoing and further work is currently being undertaken. More details will be published, possibly including photographs, in the near future.
