England: EU – Turkey Live Exports Update – 8/3/16.

We are running this as a support for Lesley at ‘Eyes on Animals’ in the Netherlands, and so we will discuss the future of the petition when we talk with her in the near future.  My guess is it will probably continue for a few months yet – certainly until we hear back from the EU officials whom we have just written to on the subject – you can read our letter by going to the following link – https://serbiananimalsvoice.com/2016/03/05/england-sav-now-formally-write-to-the-eu-regarding-eu-to-turkey-animal-transport/   –  as well as a link to our letter, there is also a sample letter which you can copy, change if you want, and then send.  E mail addresses are also included.

In the meantime, please keep the signatures coming in, and thank you to everyone who has supported, promoted the petition, and just recruited extra folk to sign.  THANK YOU ALL.

  1. I have read, there are 1627 people who signed the petition.
That’s a lot, but not nearly enough!
We need to be a lot if we want to achieve anything.
So it has always been in the struggle for animal rights, and it will never be otherwise.

Changes do not come from heaven.
Changes need fight, strong will and perseverance.
If we do not try, that’s a betrayal of the animals.
And for those who would say, “we can not change this world,” I have a beautiful quote from the animal rights activists H. Kaplan:

“The one who thinks he can improve the world, is a fool.
Who is not trying to do it, a criminal.”

P.S: Another mail-address from Martin Schulz is this:

    • Exactly – numbers have dropped off a lot over the past few days.
If this is to achieve anything then it needs to gain a lot more signatures – mass crossposting is essential as the major groups will not publish the petition for us; so we have to go it alone.
Where are friends when you need them ?
