Serbia: December Photos From Shelter Felix. Can You Give A Donation To Help Keep The Cats Warm and Fed This Christmas ?

Serbian FlagFELIX

Well Winter has arrived now and is letting everyone know that the days are shorter and a lot colder.

All the cats are doing fine but it must never be forgotten that they always need food, veterinary care (such as vaccinations) and a warm house in which they can bed down.

We at SAV are asking you to please consider giving something in the way of a donation to the shelter to help them get through this cold season.  As we always say, anything you can give is very much appreciated and welcomed.

Here above and below are some pictures taken recently at the shelter showing a selection of the kitties.

  1. Dear Mark,
When I saw on your web site the article “Time to Decide”, and the concentrate of human barbarism against animals has paralyzed my psychic powers for a moment, I asked myself, what should I wish you and us for Christmas!
And when I saw your picture with Golda in the end, I found it very motivating that you continue in spite of her death, in spite of sadness and pain.
    Always with all your energy!
For all other animals that die gruesome and not peaceful.
For these animals and for us all who need hope, to defend them further I send a poem that will accompany us in weak and sad moments of our struggle.

Do not stand at my grave and weep
    I am not there, I don’t sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn`s rain.
When you awaken in the morning`s hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight.
Do not stand at my grave and cray,
    I am not there,
    I did not die…

All the best for you, dear Mark!

    • Thank you for your kind words Venus. Today is a day of memories; good ones, there are no bad.
Regardless of the ‘downs’ that we have, the fight to be a voice and get attention where it matters still goes on with so many of us. There is some really great news from the Pozega dogs front and I hope to be publishing this news and photos / links over the next day or so; dogs which were a certain for death now saved and starting a new time with people who have helped and cared for them. Some really great news which gives me extra incentive today to continue.
Thanks and best wishes – Mark.
