There has always been a massive public outcry against the live export of live farm animals from the UK. Things are really hotting up again at the moment, with Minister David Heath MP STILL FAILING to take action and change the 1847 law that was introduced very soon after the Battle of Waterloo, and which is STILL being used today as a law to justify the export of live farm animals from the UK.
There have been protests about the animal exports both at Dover (Kent) on the 3/8/2013 – the only UK port which live animals are exported from, and yesterday (10/8/2013) in London.
Saturday 10th August 2013.
Here below are photographs from the London march against live exports organised by Compassion In World Farming (CIWF). – http://www.ciwf.org.uk/

On this video you can see campaigners fighting to stop the export of animals through Kent for slaughter in Europe who marched in London on the 10th, calling for a new law giving ports the power to refuse the trade.
