Prosecutor’s Office: Killing over 500,000 chicks was legal!

Oldenburg, Germany 30.04.2018 | 09:22

The killing of nearly 560,000 healthy turkey chicks remains unpunished for a number of hatcheries in Lower Saxony. As reported by the “Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung” (Monday), the public prosecutor’s office Oldenburg has stopped the investigation against them.

The companies had gassed or shredded the animals at the height of the bird flu outbreak in the winter of 2016/2017. The chicks could not be exported abroad as planned, due to epidemic restrictions. In Germany there were not enough free stables, it was said.

For killing the animals, the hatcheries relied on a “reasonable reason”, which the animal protection law calls for the killing of vertebrates.

The companies would otherwise have suffered economic damage.

The previous Minister of Agriculture Christian Meyer (Greens) had doubts about this reason and let the prosecutor’s office. The Prosecution now confirmed the legal opinion of the companies.

Economic disadvantages correspond to a legally required reasonable reason.

Half a million healthy, living beings are gassed or massacred, in other words, they fall victim to a mass murder of professional killers of a hatcher, and they justify this as a defense against economic damage!!

And a dull justice decides that is morally right!!
From what icy psychopaths is this society created?

Which habitual murders are we living with?

Who does not have rights is despised!”  (Bertold Brecht)
