Renegade internet entrepreneur Kim Dotcom has condemned the arrest of Julian Assange as a modern-day “inquisition,” and said the WikiLeaks founder’s “persecution and arrest” will make him “a hero for the ages.”
“Witch hunts, book burnings and the Inquisition are back,” Dotcom tweeted on Thursday, hours after Assange was hauled out of the Ecuadorian Embassy in Londonby British police.
“The persecution and arrest of Julian Assange for publishing the truth returns us to the darkest times in human history,” the internet icon continued. “This attempt to keep us from the truth will turn Julian Assange into a hero for the ages.”
According to Assange’s lawyer Jen Robinson, his arrest was made in relation to an extradition request from the United States. Assange is wanted on charges of conspiracy, together with US Army whistleblower Chelsea Manning, Robinson elaborated.
The truth published by WikiLeaks has been particularly embarrassing for Washington. In 2010, the outlet published classified US military footage leaked by Manning, which showed a US Apache gunship mowing down 12 people, including two Reuters staff.

Dotcom’s own activities have brought the weight of the US government down on him before. As founder of the now-defunct file-hosting service Megaupload, the German-born entrepreneur is still locked into an extradition battle with Washington.
He is currently in New Zealand, and has claimed that US authorities are pursuing a vendetta against him on behalf of politically-influential Hollywood studios. Dotcom is a privacy activist and prominent critic of government surveillance.
He has accused former President Barack Obama of colluding with US intelligence agencies and tech companies to dramatically expand digital spying.

While he awaits sentencing for jumping bail, Assange, 47, also faces a court hearing on May 2 relating to his possible extradition to the US to contest the hacking charges.

Breeders fight back! Norway wants to completely ban fur farming until 2025!
The Norwegian government wants to completely ban fur farming until 2025. This is what the draft law, which was presented on Wednesday in the parliament in Oslo. The owners of the farms should therefore be compensated for the closure. They accuse the government of a “historical betrayal” (!!!)
Specifically, the law provides that the possession of animals should be prohibited if they are killed “for sale or other use of their coat”.
The government estimates that it will have to budget around 500 million kroner (52 million euros) in compensation. A spokesperson for the Norwegian Fur Breeders Association said the plan will “cause the breeders to go bankrupt”. The estimated sums are far too low!!
And I mean: This is a typicalreaction of fur farmers, in the whole Europe: If the farmer can do something, that is to find reasons why HE is the victim.
When governments no longer cooperate with the Farm Inquisitors, they speak of betrayal.
Treachery to a business agreement that allows animals to be locked, tortured, forgiven and skined for years in wire cages. And if it is abolished, it is betrayal!!
One wonders how the 500 fur farmers in Norway would have called themselves if they had been locked in the cells for only a week and then left their thick skin as pocket leather in the gas chamber?

Meat must remain meat: vegetable burgers, sausages and Co. should be called differently in the future. If it goes after the EU, the naming should change radically.
Only a real steak should also be called steak, said the French Socialist MEP Éric Andrieu the Guardian newspaper. He believes that “we should find a new name for all the new products. There is a lot to do in this regard, it requires a lot of creativity. ”
First drafts stipulate that vegetarian and vegan burgers should be called “veggie discs” in the future.
My comment: Considering that an MEP has a base salary of 8,000 euros a month, plus 300 euros of daily allowance at meetings and 21,000 euros a month as an additional salary to anyone who helps him, and 4,000 euros a month for expenses available … then one understands why they work so” hard “and “creativ” and are worried about Veggie Burgers!
These lobby-champions are in fact – and only a few “activities” to mention – paid for:
-they have to make sure that animal transport is NOT limited
– they must ensure that piglets are NOT castrated with anesthetic
– they must ensure that animal transports to third countries are NOT abolished
– they must ensure that Wild animals are NOT banned in Germany’s circuses
– they must ensure that the extension of the legally required place for pigs from 0.75 to 1.50 square meters is NOT permitted
-they have to make sure that the chain connection in cows is NOT abolished …
-they have to make sure that England does NOT leave the EU, even though the people have decided to do so…and…and..
It’s a “hard work” this lobby work for meat mafia, milk mafia, industry mafia, hunter mafia… It must be done consistently against animals and animal rights activism, which the “creative” MEPs have done to date, proving that the EU is in reality nothing more than an extermination camp. For animals and humans.

Completely burned out: A pigsty had started fire, the 1100 caged animals are burned alive. The cause has now been determined (?)
First registration: April 9, 6:49.Warendorf – Around 19:19 on Monday (April 8), a pigsty of the farm Schwienhorst (Warendorf, North Rhine-Westphalia area) has caught fire.
Whether this is a technical defect or even arson has not yet been determined: the cause is not yet clear.
Around 130 firefighters were on duty and were able to prevent the fire from spreading to the nearby residential building. However, the pigsty burnt down completely in Warendorf: “It killed about 100mother sows (!!!) and 1000 piglets,” reports the police.

It is not the first fire in the Münsterland where animals had to die: just a few days ago a pig stall was in flames in Ostbevern.It killed 100 animals.( Due to this fire, PETA has filed complaint against the operator, note from Venus). We are deeply saddened by the death of 100 mothers who were burned as slaves in a barracks for the purpose of meat production.
We mourn over their 1000 newborn children, who were also born as slaves in the service of the meat machine and were burnt together with their mothers helpless and cruel.
They were not mother sows, they were mothers. They were not piglets, it was their children.
This is how the language of the media works: they present the mass murder of animals as ordinary random events and degrade the victims to objects, so that the perpetrators are relieved in advance.
And if one still does not feel compassion for the “poor” farmer, who is financially ruined by the “unexplained“burning of 1000 creatures, the amount of 500,000 euros in damage will convince him.

The ” horrendous” moment a lion attacks his trainer while cruelly performing in a circus has been caught on camera and it’s really awful (!!!)
The terrifying situation was filmed by a tourist as they watched the torturous circus in Lviv, Ukraine, causing mass outrage among viewers.
Frantically, Pinko tries to push the lions back with a metal rod, but one of the beasts (!!) rears up and bites him in the leg, while another locks his strong jaws around his arm.
His arm, leg and back were mauled and clawed before he managed to fight the animal off. After a fearsome battle, Pinko manages to make his escape away from the angry pair and emerges limping and dripping with blood!
The watchers, however, seem to be and understandably more on the side of the meanly kept lions.
A witness said:
I was just grabbing my daughter and trying to run because I thoght they were going to get us!
One said:
“The use of wild animals in the circus needs to be banned”.
Another added:
“I’m sorry but I’m totally on the side of the lions here. It’s shocking making them try to perform”.
We bow to you, Leo.
We solidarize with you, and fight every day so that your conspecific no longer have to suffer under the circus mafia (including complicity).
If there was a just judgment, you would appear there as a freedom fighter, not as a beast, as the dirty press has labeled you.

The investigators of Animal Equality, Mexicodocumented the terrible everyday life in 21 slaughterhouses. Some of the slaughterhouses are owned by the government, such as Jalisco, Nuevo León, Aguascalientes, San Luis Potosi, Colima, Zacatecas and Nayarit. The footage clearly shows how these farms regularly violate the Federal Animal Health Law – without any legal consequences:
-ALL pigs are fully conscious when they are stabbed. In most slaughterhouses, pigs are killed by being stabbed in the side with several knife wounds and then bleeding to death.
In none of the documented abattoirs are sheep and goats stunned before slaughter. The animals are tied together, a worker pulls them on one foot over the ground and then cuts off their heads.
-Workers forcibly force them to move with blows and electric shock when they panic.
-Workers kill more than three pigs at the same time.
-Some pigs try to climb over other pigs to escape the impending death, while the workers kill the other pigs and begin dissecting them.
These practices did not constitute a crime. In Mexico, there have been no laws protecting so-called livestock from maltreatment.
The current animal welfare laws that protect dogs and cats do not prescribe any regulations for the animals in the breeding, fattening and slaughterhouses of the food industry. If somebody treated a dog or a cat like workers in the farms visited, such as pigs, cows, sheep, chickens or goats, these people would have to face imprisonment.
The Animal Equality team in Mexico has managed to change this, at least in the Mexican state of Jalisco, with an unprecedented initiative.
Anyone who abuses so-called livestock in the future commits an offense.

Petition – End deforestation in the Peruvian Amazon.
The Peruvian Amazon is under attack. Illegal gold mining and other methods of deforestation have robbed the rare and biologically unique forest of over 70 square miles of forestland in only two years. Demand that more be done to combat this illegal deforestation.
