On Thursday, the European Court of Justice issued a blow to the seals when it suspended the EU ban on seal product imports. This unjust act was in response to a lawsuit brought by an Inuit council, Canadian sealers/fishermen, Canadian seal skin processors/purveyors and a Norwegian seal skin processor. The EU Parliament and the Council of the European Union are defendants in this lawsuit. Please urge them to stand firm in support of the import ban.
